The biggest lie about Israel: “The Jews stole the land.”
Here’s the documented truth that destroys that propaganda.
Please read all of it and share as it is so important that the truth is out there.
From the late 1800s, Jews didn’t arrive as conquerors. They returned to their ancient homeland through legal land purchases under Ottoman and British rule, paying real money for real deeds from willing Arab sellers.
Zionist organizations and private buyers negotiated with Arab landowners (many absentee landlords in Beirut, Damascus, Cairo). They paid premium prices, often many times the market rate, and turned malaria-ridden swamps and wasteland into productive farms and orange groves.
4/ Hundreds of thousands of pounds changed hands legally. British Mandate records from the 1930s document the transactions. Arab sellers profited handsomely. No armies. No forced evictions in those early decades.
5/ Even the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Amin al-Husseini, who was the fiercest opponent of Jewish settlement, couldn’t stop his own family from selling land to Jews. His father, relatives, and other prominent Arab families did the same while he publicly raged against it.
If you found this thread valuable and want to support more factual content like this, you can buy me a coffee here:
6/ Dozens of leading Arab figures sold land. Public opposition never stopped private profit. The transactions were voluntary, recorded, taxed, and recognized by the authorities of the day.
7/ Jewish buyers drained swamps, built roads, introduced modern agriculture, created jobs, and raised living standards. Arab population in areas of Jewish settlement grew during the Mandate years because of the economic boom.
8/ The core Jewish towns, kibbutzim, and cities that formed Israel stood on land that had been bought and paid for decades earlier. The 1948 war and displacement came later, but the foundation was legal acquisition and hard work.
9/ Jews did not steal the land. Not any of it. They bought it, often at inflated prices, from Arabs who chose to sell. The deeds exist. The money was paid. The records are clear.
10/ This is the factual foundation of the Jewish return to their homeland.
The propaganda says “stolen.” The documents say “purchased and developed.”
Share this thread if you want the truth to cut through the lies.

Because as the story of the shooting of Jews in Montreal is still unfolding, I found myself turning to Elie Wiesel. Wiesel understood something many people prefer not to see: hatred does not begin with violence. It begins with words. With ideas. With the slow acceptance that one group of people is uniquely guilty, uniquely evil, uniquely undeserving of empathy. Reading these words, I am struck not by how old they are, but by how current they feel. We have watched Jews attacked in Washington. We have watched my Jewish community m@ssacred in Bondi. Now Montreal. My question is not why. The rhetoric that Israel—and therefore, too often, Jews—are uniquely evil has become increasingly acceptable in many circles. My question is: where does it lead? Wiesel spent his life warning us that the distance between words of hate and acts of violence is shorter than we wish to believe. This quote comes from his lecture on The Last Testament of Paltiel Kossover. Listen to his voice. He knew the worst of humankind, and he understood that “Never Again” was never a promise. It was a responsibility.

I’m gonna propose “I guess you haven’t read the silmarillion then :/” as a default response to anyone not understanding a reference to something obscure. even if it’s not remotely Tolkien related. I want to build up a perception that perhaps the sum total of human knowledge is contained in the silmarillion
This is the polar opposite of this:
