In the waning days of summers glow, she met him.
A take too cliche to show.
Perfect he seemed, ticking all the boxes,
making her feel special, like a rare lotus.
Their souls intertwined, a genuine connection.
He treated her as if they were destined for affection,
but in the blink of an eye, the tides did turn.
His love for her did slowly burn, no longer a priority.
She felt cast aside, reduced to mere friendship, her heart denied.
Yes time passed swiftly, another week flew.
He craved more than friendship, his desires anew.
She cared deeply, he heart yearning for his embrace,
unaware she’d be just one in a crowded space.
For soon, his affection would fade away,
leaving her abandoned,
with nothing left to say.
I’ve been gone for literal years but I’m trying to convert my ramblings into poetry
