The experimental documentary that is Man With A Movie camera makes use of the juxtaposition of seemingly unrelated shots to show a grand narrative that is life in the city of Moscow. Hardships, workers, the city, and other aspects of the city show life in the city and seemingly have an underlying take on socialism, communism and the labor force.
At first glance, the surface of the film made it seem like it was just a collection of shots or an exhibit of life within the city similar to showcases used in tourism. But, the way that the shots were put together showed the story through the editing and the way the shows were sequenced, as well as how their co-relations to one another.
