Pls don't tell me you love me and then push me away. I would greatly appreciate it.

Sometimes, it’s easier to tell a stranger something very personal. It`s like there’s less risk, opening yourself up to someone who doesn’t know you.

What if you didn’t run? This one time. What if you stayed, and let love overtake you?

Things I have learned in 2016
1. I have learned that your plans may change, and in the mix of it all you have to be okay with it. In the beginning of the year I was a music education major, and my dream was to teach children music. But, at the end of last school year I realized that music wasn’t for me. I was lead to a whole new path, and right now I couldn’t be happier with the choices I have made. At first I felt bad, and I felt stupid because I was THAT music student who dropped after freshman year. However, I realized that after I switched I became so much happier and I actually enjoyed going to class.
2. I learned it’s okay to let people in. This past year I recently got into a relationship, and that has been a learning process within itself. But, it taught me so many thing, and one of those things being it’s okay to trust people. I have built so many walls throughout my years, so whenenever someone tries to enter my life I become cautious because I’m so scared of getting attached. I realized that I would lose the opportunity to meet some amazing people, and I had to learn that people come in your life to impact it in some way.
3. I have learned to try to appreciate everything and everyone in my life more. Some people were ALWAYS complaining about their life, and after a while it was annoying. They would complain about the university we attend or complain that they don’t have this or complain about something. I was sitting in my room one day, and I thought about everything. I came to realize that myself and others don’t realize how much we have, and how much opportunity we have at our fingertips. But, it’s about making the most of what we are given. Yes, you may not be attending the college of your dream, but while you’re at the college you’re at, make a name for yourself and work hard. Appreciate everything you have because I am sure you have it WAY better than someone else.
I have learned so many other things this past year, but these were my top three.
How am I supposed to confide in you when I feel like a second choice? That's something I will never understand.
It feels like you've stopped caring, and that's really pushing me away from you.

Life really isn’t what I expected it to be
less quicksand
almost no quicksand to be honest
