If he finds himself in a tight spot, he can call a teammate. If someone else on the Ghost is sick, he can go get Kanan or Hera. If he and some of the crew are pinned down, he can call for backup. Hey, if he just needs advice, there's always a crew member he could go to for support.

he mentions alderaan at his return party and doesn’t understand why the room went quiet. he spent nearly a decade sleeping on solid ground and now can’t sleep in space, even in his old bunk on the ghost. he meets jacen and feels a force signature so similar to kanan’s that he excuses himself to the bathroom and cries until he throws up. everyone keeps mentioning this skywalker guy he doesn’t know and he hates having to ask who another person is. he goes back to lothal and sees its been rebuilt after the bombardment and that’s a good thing, he knows that’s a good thing, but now he doesn’t recognize buildings and streets and can’t help but feel a little sad. And he shouldn’t, because its fixed now, its free.

Requested by @sarah3210 So sorry to wait so long. It took me awhile to write this one. It's a short one but I hope you like it.

This fic is written before "An Inside Man" episode

It's been a year since Ezra figured out their parents were dead, put theirselves first so the others could survive including Ryder Azadi.

All he could everytime he think about his parents, he talked at a holo picture of his parents and himself when he was a little kid.

"Mom, Dad, it's been a year since I figured out what happened to you two. It's been really hard to accept about this truth..."

He touched a holo picture as talking "You guys would do anything to make Lothal a better place and keeping me safe for a long time and here I am..."

His right eye were starting to tear down but he wiped it quickly.

"I am safe with a crew that they called a family. It took me some time to get used of living with them but I know it's the best thing I ever had since I lived at the streets."

During that, Kanan appeared, was going to call Ezra time to go for a mission but he decided to silent so Ezra could finished talking with a holo-picture of his parents.

"I miss you guys very much, you two are a part of me and I will never forget about you."

Ezra noticed Kanan was waiting for him, he sighed as stared at a holo-picture for last time before they left.

"Okay, Kanan and I have to go back to Lothal and helping people there. Talk you guys later."

After that, Ezra climbed down the stairs and stared at Kanan "Ready back to your homeworld ?"

Ezra nodded "Yeah, it's been too long we haven't there since the empire figured out our secret temple."

Kanan agreed "I know how much it means to you, kid."

Kanan sensed the kid had been holding his emotion, he put a hand on Ezra's shoulder "And I know you've been strong for so long. It's time to let to out."

Ezra was trying to hold on his tears as nodding at him but soon after that, he broke into tears. "Come here, kid. It's okay." Kanan pulled him into a hug.

Ezra continue crying on his shoulder as Kanan rubbing his back.

Unrelated headcanon:

I like to think that Kanan, until his death, whenever he talked with or thought about someone from the crew, he imagined them as they were in S2 (before losing his sight). So even though Ezra and Sabine obviously grew up, he still imagined them as they looked the last time he saw them.
