One of my little black kittens has a few strands of white fur above her left eye. She is also the only kitten that will sleep on my chest, the most timid of the five. She loves to prop herself up on my chest and clean my face.

I have white hair in my left eyebrow...not sure of the origin. I believe it is just a lack of pigmentation that is completely random and poses no health concerns.

Let's pretend for the moment that I am holding a book in my hands. I have been reading this book, a gripping mystery novel, and enjoy the world the author has painted for me. I have come to a scene in a book that I am not pleased with therefore I close the book and clench it tightly to my chest. I think, think, think, and think some more for this book to change the story line. 

Impossible, no?

Then why do devout -insert religion here- believers feel it is okay to wish for their precious all-knowing lord to change his/her/it's already made plan? 

Something that I used to absolutely detest was my inability to maintain conversation on pop culture. Perhaps this is because I am still a teenager. 

Recently, however, I have come to love this facet of my personality. I began to truly consider the pros and cons of such lack of information. It was instigated by a video of four adults discussing the outcome of a television series. I had accidentally clicked the link on YouTube. I was instantly transported to Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451 <sidenote> we are really spoiled in 2013, ya know...spell check and all, otherwise I would have become lost looking for my dictionary </sn> when Montag depicts images of the Parlors adorned with many screens. They are discussing fictional characters as if they were family members. 

Today people seem to have more knowledge about fictional characters than they do the people who actually used to walk the Earth. 

Don't mistake me, please... I do indulge in television on occasion. However I have never been one to become engrossed in a thick story line. <sidenote> goodness gracious....here I am telling people on a site filled to the brim with fandoms this information; no one will understand </sn> I love cartoons, and a few shows on Comedy Central...but HBO and SHOWtime never get my views unless it's a nighttime program ;)  <sidenote> softcore overpriced t.v. porn ftw </sn>

Seriously though, I am concerned. People are starting to forget what they're made of. They're starting to forget they're finite.
