same anon as before (for context i have autism),basically a few weeks ago i was really stressed over hw and stuff and my mom tried to force me to go to bed (which only stressed me out more because i felt like i NEEDED to finish). i started to panic and then my dad started to physically pull me out of my chair and took off my headphones which freaked me out even more, and i started to bang my hands on the table bc i started to get too overwhelmed and forgot words that i could use, and then (1/2)
* im really sorry this happened to you, bud.
* i suggest you sit down with your parents, and talk to them about what they did and how it made you feel. even if its just to let them know how you feel, talking to your parent may help a great deal.
* if you cant or dont want to do that, i suggest finding or getting a comfort item or stim toy to help you when you get stressed. i personally have a plushie or two always in hand, but that may not work for you, and thats okay!

im sans (the mod of the blog), and i want to apologize for the long and sudden hiatus. a lot of personal and unexpected things happened to me, and all of my motivation went down the drain, and i ended up not even going on tumblr for months because of how badly i needed a break. but now, im back, and im better than before!

Heya Sans! This year has been off to a decent start, as one of my resolutions was to start taking better care of myself. It’s been off and on though, as I’ve been super busy with finding a job and dedicating lots of time to my studies, and it makes it hard to stay motivated. Do you have any advice to perhaps make it a little easier to devote some time to myself? And thank you for all that you do, you’re so supportive and it’s inspiring!

* it sounds cliché, but i suggest a daily planner! and maybe set a specific time of the day that stays consistent throughout the week for breaks! it doesn’t sound helpful at first, but if you motivate yourself enough to keep up the schedule you’ve set for yourself, you’ll get used to it and be happy and get work done!

I have depression, it’s not that fun, but I guess you already know this, heh. My parents... they aren’t the best. They try, but it’s a big no. They insist on calling my depression laziness, and I’ve started to do it too. The worst is that I feel like I’m near the end. I feel my conscience slowly slippin’ out, and I’m afraid. I don’t want to be an empty shell...
* hey bud! i know it’s hard right now, but i believe in you! i know you can stay strong and do this!
* depression is definitely not laziness. what they think is laziness is actually lack of motivation. it’s a completely different thing. laziness is not doing anything just because you don’t want to do anything, while a lack of motivation is you physically not being able to do the thing you want or need to.
* i suggest you try and explain this to your parents, and hopefully they’ll understand. you’re their child, and it’s best to listen to your child and what they may need.

how does it feel to have all of these people’s lives, opinions, problems laying in front of you ?
* i feel sorta honoured, especially since everyone’s coming to me of all people for help. honestly, i didn’t think i’d be much help at all, but here i am, inspiring people, motivating people, making people feel better! it’s an amazing feeling knowing people trust me enough to vent to me!

I was made into believing that caring for myself was narcissism, that there’s always somewhere something worse... the result is, I don’t take my feelings seriously, and I realize way too late that my depression is way more severe than just a sad mood going on for a few days. What do you think about all of this?

* it is not self-centered at all to have negative emotions! it’s completely okay to feel this way! and taking care of yourself isn’t narcissism! even if you don’t take your own feelings seriously, someone else does, like me, and they’ll want you to take care of yourself! but don’t try to force yourself to take your own feelings seriously, try to ease into it and get used to it.
* seeing the bad before the good might be a bad habit for you, so i suggest taking a moment to think of just flexibity, love, and trust— and try to remind yourself that bad things don’t always happen!
* it’s okay for you to have realized some things a bit too late! even if it seems bad, i can rest assure you it’s not!

hey sans. recently i realized something about myself. some context: i need to do something with my hands almost constantly, or i just cant concentrate. because of that, i often end up picking at my skin. and most of the time, it hurts. but i keep doing it. could this be considered self-harm? or am i overreacting?
* i guess it depends on a couple of different factors if it’s actually self-harm. from what it sounds like, it’s not completely on purpose, and just on impulse, so i don’t hold it against you.
* i suggest you try bringing a stress ball with you, and when you don’t have anything to do with your hands, squeeze the stress ball so you’ve got something!

Yo sans, I got diagnosed with Severe Crohn’s disease three years ago. As of A few days ago, I am officially in remission! And on the 24th, we’ll see if I get my back brace off for good!

I swear to god I’m literally so tired. New year new me, right? Well. Turns out it was actually new year, new insecurities. I JUST got over a bunch of shit that was bothering me! I was SO convinced I was doing better! I figured out who I am! I stopped hating my body! But I realized I have a mental disorder that’s heavily demonized, and it makes me NERVOUS. I know I won’t hurt anyone! I know I won’t do anything bad or weird! But it still scares me! Especially with my intrusive thoughts!

Hello. Can i ask for your help? I have been thinking a lot lately and i figured that i dont like myself. Like maybe i feel like im stupid or weird or i dont know. Whenever someone asks me "what games do you play" or "what type of music do you listen" etc i cant answer them easily.
