You dislike Taylor Swift because you think “normie white girl music” is dumb and boring. I dislike Taylor swift because she’s a massive carbon emissions contributor who refuses to acknowledge her actions, is friends with several trump supporters, and she’s a billionaire. We are not the same.

Taylor Swift is fascinating to me, like how can you be a billionaire with a successful music career and still be so painfully insecure? Like, her “friends” aren’t allowed to dress in a way that upstages her in public. Any artist she features is done in such a way where her part has to sound better. She can’t handle being in a relationship with anyone potentially smarter or more creative than her so she gets engaged to a man she clearly thinks she’s smarter and more emotionally mature than. She throws a fucking hissy fit when another female artist exists without her consent. She’s still LARPing as a high school mean girl, not just in the language she uses, but in her whole attitude towards everyone else in the industry.

The teens are cursing, the bad guy keeps getting his shins literally kicked in, there’s a Team Rocket style blast off, there’s a bobobo-bo bo-bobo in the boba shop’s name, there’s a “if all your friends jumped off a bridge, would you?” Moment. This show has everything

Mitch as a concept is so fucking funny to me like he’s just some guy who’s been dead for probably less than a decade and now he has to do whatever the Greek god of war wants. Like this guy probably had an iPhone and then one day he just gets fuckin yeeted to the Ancient Greek underworld which is DEFINITELY not what he thought the afterlife would be but ok. And now he has to *checks notes* help the demigod daughter of Ares sail through the Sea of Monsters to find the Golden Fleece. AND he almost certainly has no useful skills for this mission unless you count tweeting about Lost 15 years ago. Why is it that liberals only recognize the AIDS crisis as a tragedy that affected white gay men and ignore the very real black and brown victims, the activists who fought to end it, AND the continued existence of the AIDS crisis within the global South, particularly Africa?

I see this a lot in leftist circles but mental illness, trauma and abuse will exist with or without capitalism, your “mental illness is a social phenomenon” might be true for your depression and your anxiety but I beg all of you to think about psychotic people, systems and people with personality disorders when you make posts like that. It might be true that we wouldn’t be labeled as mentally ill but we would still need resources to help us cope, there’s still something we would need help coping with and you should focus on making that help available and accessible and free of bigotry for all of us instead of living in a “no mentally ill people” pseudo progressive eugenicist dream.
