Bottled Eden

Another nearly normal day at work. The best part was being able to give something back for the housekeeping guys today. We organized a buffet of sweets for them. Ate dinner, Elsa was already asleep. She heard me and woke up, said Hi and went back to sleep.

The weekends are generally good. Today, was a couple of firsts.

Elsa for the first time ate the same stuff for lunch as we did. And then in the evening had her first taste of cotton candy.

Its nice to be able to provide towards those small little joys of my kid.

I really can't think of what did I really accomplish today.

Woke up like every other day, albeit earlier. Rushed to work to prepare for my audition to facilitate a culture conversation.

Lunch and then at 4 I am on my way back home.

Elsa seemed a little cranky. Nithya was getting ready for the meeting.

Then we are stuck in the never ending feud with Bangalore. Dropped Nithya at the meeting place and I am off for another stroll of Whitefield. Had some masala puri and noodles. I didn't finish it all but still had to save space for dinner.

Woke up feeling that I wanted to sleep. However, both Nithya and Elsa woke up too. Elsa was as fresh as a daisy and started her morning games. She dragged me to the bed and started playing her favorite game of sliding down my legs. Nithya meanwhile was prepping Elsa up for school.

I guess today was the first time that I was dropping Elsa to school on my way to work without Nithya coming along. Elsa looked excited to go as well. Dropped her at school. What was a relief was the fact that she was happy to be there.

Driving to work, signed in to Ted talks and heard Elon Musk speak. This was my first and I sure want to know more about him and the dreams he is turning to reality. Hyperloops, Tunnels, Space X, the boring company, Tesla, the largest battery, life on mars, a spaceship that could carry a Boeing 747 as cargo. This was straight out of fiction and yet real. More was the self driven car.

Intelligence vs Knowledge - will have to think about this more. Especially in line with my work at km.

Here I am, at my desk, looking over the horizon. Horizon,not really, I am just on the 5th floor, but my minds eye is actually going over the horizon. 

The sound from the air conditioner makes you believe that you are on a craft soon to go to neverland. Sadly, that isn’t the case.

I am a dreamer, and do not need reasons to dream. I wish to be at the foothills of the Nilgiri Mountains and a few hours drive away from a nice humble abode in the hills. That will happen one day.

Today, though is a not so pleasant ride back home through #BangaloreTraffic but to the bliss of a loving family
