Some people seem to think Britain is just going to welcome Ukrainian refugees with open arms “because they’re white”.  That’s probably not going to happen so let me jump aboard the “Fuck the Tories” bandwagon to yell about why Priti Patel is a fucking liar and the Tories are going to exploit the absolute bollocks off of Ukrainian refugees.

No they fucking don’t - your party is responsible for the Brexit lies that will actively make life harder and more dangerous for them.

Britain’s ruling Conservative party (to which Patel belongs) has been in-power for over a decade now, and is responsible for such a brutal series of austerity policies that even the United Nations had to tell them to tone it the heck down.  [1]

Priti Patel herself is responsible for regugitating the “Immigants are just economic migrants” myth [2] and has a consistent track record of voting against human rights [3].

So, if the Conservative party is perfectly willing to massacre its own (austerity being responsible for anywhere between over 50,000 [4] and as many as 130,000 [5] [6] d###s depending on who you’re asking) then what possible chance do you think Ukrainians have?

Thanks to Tories like her, our culture is increasingly-flooding with anti-immigration sentiment - and, yes, that includes white people.  Before the pandemic even began, East Europeans especially were subject to violence and d#### threats.  So, when people say, “Oh Ukriainians will be fine in Britain because they’re white”, those people are being very naive indeed.

Even if they do get taken in, there’s absolutely no guarantee that the Tories won’t exploit them and send them back within a generation.  You know.  Like we just did to people from the Caribbean.  [7] [8]

Priti Patel is fucking lying to you.  All Conservatives are lying to you.  They don’t care about refugees, they just want to look like they do because Putin’s aggression provides them with an opportunity to look like The Good Guys by comparison.  There is absolutely no guarantee that the United Kingdom won’t exploit those seeking asylum, and the Conservative Party is directly to blame for making this place a shitter, less-welcoming, and all-round more manipulative environment for those who need help.

So, in conclusion: fuck Priti Patel, fuck the Conservative Party, fuck the entirety of the political right, fuck Andrew Wakefield for a few unrelated things, and fuck the Tories again for good measure.
