One of the best details in BNHA is the way that NO ONE in the League likes All For One. They didn't give a shit when he was captured at Kamino, and after he took over Tomura's body, offering them power beyond their wildest dreams, the consensus was "fuck this guy, I miss our real boss."

Tomura thought he was this unlovable creature who no one could ever care about beyond his ability to destroy, but the League loves him SO MUCH. They love the 21-year old weirdo who games too much, who took revenge on Overhaul when his people were hurt, who squatted in abandoned buildings with them for months, who listened to and respected them, who never treated anyone like they were useless, who took a deal with the MLA for their safety and comfort. They love the young man who was possessed, not the all-powerful possessor.

Love was the point all along.

Hawks, a Night's Watch, is part of a group (see the name) that is in charge of making sure they don't manage to breach the rest of the nations. For those who are familiar with Game of Thrones: he's the Jon Snow equivalent

Ooh I’ve got a few! A lot of them are fairly old though, so sorry if you’ve come across them already

Reverie by @auspiciouswhiskers is a classic, great place to start. It’s a very sweet getting-to-know-you kinda fic set in canon universe shortly after the sports festival

Jellicle Songs for Jellicle Cats by @hanatatami is another really sweet getting-to-know-you fic where Deku adopts a cat and Shinsou helps him take care of it. This author writes a lot of good ShinDeku stuff, so be sure to check out the rest of their works on AO3!

Constellations by @keithedrifter is a cute oneshot where Shinsou reflects on how sappy and in love he is x3 It’s slightly suggestive, fair warning, if that isn’t your thing. And on that note, Thick Skin, Elastic Heart by the same author is quite possibly my FAVORITE ShinDeku fic of all time, but it’s explicit, so once again, word of caution ^^;

Tribute To by @sugarmagic is another explicit fic that’s absolutely brilliant - the writing is SO GOOD

And uh, just gonna toss a few of my fics into the mix too, bc 90% of the fanfiction I’ve written for MHA has been ShinDeku x3 --

The Scarecrow - a kidfic oneshot in which Shinsou and Deku are childhood friends

Pencil Shavings - an AU oneshot in which Shinsou and Deku meet in a high school that isn’t UA

It seems excessive to scream about this on twitter so I'm going to subject you all to my thoughts because he is fuckin bkdk coloured and if I could clamber up the walls and hang from the ceiling howling I would. This man is brutal, too. He strikes me as a soldier through and through, fighting is all he's known, and I think that's exactly how he looks at Izuku to boot. And yet, he still held out his hand to Yoichi. He's fascinating and now he's ginger and today is a fine day.
