I’m going to return to our travel blog again to document our adventures, some which have happened since we last blogged, and hopefully all those yet to come. We have so much planned!

Kph Rong, Cambodia. 1. The view from our room was amazing! $20 a night for a treehouse bungalow right on the beach! We did have to share with a two foot lizard but he didn't biter us, we actually quite liked him. 2&3. We hiked over the island to find an empty beach which was spotless and beautiful. Ended up paying for a boat taxi back at the end of the day though.

After that we headed to Saigon which I’ll write up in another post. 😀 I’ll put some photos up of our time on the islands next.

Since we last posted we have visited the temples that surround Siem Reap! We finally got round to hiring pushbikes ($2!!), and buying our three-day passes ($40) which you can use over any three of the next seven days. On day one we headed to Angkor Thom at around dinner time. Foolish really since it's hot enough on a normal day, never mind when you're biking around open flat areas of land. Despite the heat however, the whole experience was something else. The next day we decide to do the grand circuit and so hired a tuk-tuk for $20 which really was a great investment since we had hugely underestimated the distance between each temples and our arses were still sore from the bikes. On this day we saw the famous Ta Prohm which is known as the tomb raider temple made famous by its appearance in the movie. Whilst it was amazing, the hoards of people shuffling through is annoying, especially in the heat. I'd definitely recommend going at a quieter time. In the end we paid the driver for a full day's work and ended up leaving early simply because we were fed up. The temples are stunning but being stood in the boiling Asian heat with virtually no shade is exhausting and we just wanted to go have a shower and chill out. We did spend overall probably a good ten hours invested in looking at them though so it isn't as though we wasted our money and missed out because we really did see so many temples but truthfully there's only so many you can look at before it gets monotonous. In between temples we played pool and ate Sunday dinners at a really nice reggae bar called The Siem Reap that we found near the guesthouse. We've probably eaten here everyday for the last five days. The foods really good as well as cheap. Other than this we've had curry and visited the old market once or twice since our night out but we've more or less taken it really easy during our time in Siem Reap. We will be moving on to Phnom Penh in the next day or two so we will have more to share soon! We've got loads of photographs too but transferring them from our cameras to our phones is fiddly and we will get round to it shortly.

Yesterday was another slow day. We had gone to bed the night before with intentions of visiting the temples in the morning but we both woke up in one of them moods where you just haven't had enough sleep and you just have no energy. For breakfast we had banana and chocolate pancakes which was really tasty apart from the chocolate sauce was really just that paste you can make when you only pour about a teaspoon into hot chocolate powder. Still pretty neat though. Just weird. When it got to half eleven and we was still in bed we decided that we can just give it a miss and visit them the next day. If we're paying $40 we want a full days worth, right? Anyway, it's really nice in Siem Reap, our guesthouse has ace wifi, and our bed is really comfy. So we spent the day in bed again... It did turn out to be for the best though because in the afternoon we ate dinner in the old market part of town and it absolutely chucked it down and it didn't stop until the evening. Our hotel flooded. There was water running down the stairs and through the hallway. Outside things were being washed away. And we were all snug in bed watching the rain and YouTube videos. It turned out to be a really nice super lazy day and we made sure we got up early enough to do the temples today which I'll write about in a different post.

So yesterday was a complete write off after our heavy drinking session on Thursday but despite feeling like death it was actually kinda nice to spend all day in bed. By the end of the day I'd stopped being sick and we got pretty hungry so went for an Indian which was really tasty. Every now and again you definitely need to just take a day to spend doing absolutely nothing. Even though we've turned it in to a two day stretch. We have left the room though to do some shopping; Row bought a new top and I had a look at some rings and that. We're just taking some time to chill out here since our room is huge (two double beds and an en-suite), the wifi is strong so we're going to catch up on communications with the family, and the city is really nice. Plus were spending three days exploring the Angkor wat and surrounding temples. So yeah! Will have loads to show you all soon. ☺️

Went out for a few beers and met a polish couple, Michel and Isabella, who we ended up spending the night drinking $1.50 cocktails and far too many vodka shots with.

Tubing yesterday was sick!
