Okay folx, I have an announcement to make! It has recently come to my attention that there are currently no Halloween parties planned for this spooky season, and that just won’t do. So, I’ve decided to take matters into my own hands and throw one! The festivities will take place at my house on Friday night, not exactly on Halloween because as it stands I’m working that night. Still, it’s close enough! Come in costume, obviously, it is Halloween after all. I’ll be taking care of the food and drinks, but if you want alcohol it’s BYOB and I could always use a hand or two with decorating if anyone has some free time. I’m thinking we’ll start around 8 PM or so, and go until 1-2 AM at the latest. No fees of course, it’s a party! But, if everyone would be so kind as to bring 2 or 3 canned items to bring for donation, I’ll be heading to the Food Pantry later that Saturday to drop off some donations of my own. With Thanksgiving just around the corner, it’d be nice to be able to give a little extra. If you want to come just let me know, so I know how many to plan for! And, if you need the address, just shoot me a text! Can’t wait to see everyone there!

I’ll be there for sure. Cans and all. Don’t know if I can make it at 8pm but I’ll drop by for sure. 

Jude: I wouldn't mind reading one of those booklets if you ever feel compelled to give it a try one day.

Jude: Think you'll do the next open mic night? I'll make sure to keep my evening free to take in your show!

Jude: decided to keep the rest of October work free. it's my favorite time of year and I don't want to get caught up with work

Sam: Okay, alright, I'll send you one someday. You've been warned, mwahaha.

Sam: I think I will, it's always fun to do a song during open mic night, especially if it's one together with Blaine. Awesome! I take it you liked the whole evening?

Woah, you’ve got a Haunted House going? I’m there, yeah! I’m sure it’ll be great! Where are you hosting it? It really is. It might be a strange thing to say, but even as an adult Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. Do you have any big plans yourself, other than running your House?

Yep, started putting it together on August 1st and kinda finished it by the middle of that month. I know, super early but hey, Halloween isn’t just a day it’s a season and nobody can convince me otherwise. I love it so much. Oh, it’s just my place turned into a haunted house for the time being. Little over the top? Maybe, but I don’t care, ha. Uhm, still waiting to hear if there are any parties out there but aside from handing out candy to everybody that comes trick or treating at my door, no plans yet. 

Okay, I’ll be the first to say I’m all for relaxing, chilling out, and taking a breather, but this is Halloween. I want to get out and do something, I’ve been cooped up in my house for longer than any one person should be. I’m thinking of going out for a drive, just to look at some of the decorations people have up. Maybe I’ll stop in somewhere for a latte or something while I’m out. Or…Does anyone know of any good haunted houses going on? Let me know. And, I’m always open for company.

You’re free to come and check out my haunted house if you want. I haven’t heard about any parties yet. They’re super late with organizing this year it seems. Which is a shame cuz Halloween is awesome.

Listen, ain’t nobody want to see me up there on stage. Even if I’m not singing, my swaying is… kind of spastic? Rhythm and I aren’t buds, y’know.

Iced tea doesn’t really feel all that good going out through your nose as well, js. 

Hey, at least everybody will have a good laugh if you ever decide to go up on stage and sway there. Who knows, it might become a new dance craze. 

If you don’t mind Yuri asked to help too and I said yes. He’s gonna be doing the pants while we work on the blazer part. Oooh, that could work really well. I’ll be sure to ask him, thanks for the suggestion!

Quinn: Thanks, Sam. That was my biggest fear in telling you, that you would hate me for keeping it from you. It was hard, but I knew that I needed you to know.

Quinn: Are you sure?

Sam: I wanna hug you so bad right now. Nobody deserves to go through that on their own let alone when they're as young as you were back then.

Sam: Not going to lie, it hurts a bit that you didn't tell me but knowing who made you leave town and make sure that it all stayed a secret for all these years helps. It puts my anger where it should be, your mom. If that makes sense?

Yes, it’s all set aside I just haven’t put it to use yet. It’s going to be the full suit - I haven’t found a cane to use yet. 

The candy is fair point. I had things that needed to be in before the start of the work day or I would’ve just knocked out honestly.

Here I thought I was making long hours at times running my store. How long are yours most of the time? Dude, that sounds like your body’s telling you to take it easy every now and then, js. 

I like chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, and gravy, maybe with a green of some kind if I’m feeling it.

Oh, a second set of hands could be great actually. I have all the fabric I need, and I’m trying to make it into a Riddler cosplay. 

I’m shocked and appalled that I haven’t heard anything yet about where the good Halloween parties are gonna be this year. We’ve got a whole town moderately obsessed with spooky season, and nobody’s throwing an All Hallows’ rager? Two weekends left, y’all, and if I put all this effort into an actual costume, I want to be sure I have someplace to wear it. Get planning folks, chop chop!

Excuse me... I turned my whole place into a haunted house everybody’s free to explore, I think I’ve done enough. It’s someone else’s turn to throw a party this year. Totally agree with you, tho. Very disappointed there’s not even a whisper about someone hosting a All hallows eve party,

My cosplay adventures are taking a little longer than I thought they would. So far all I’ve gotten done is a tie and Halloween is coming so much quicker than I thought it would… I might have to use one of my other costumes instead of the one I’m working on. 

Pepper isn’t even a little bit scary on his own, so he might actually be surprised at that. Oooooh, do tell, I’m all ears!

Keeping my fingers crossed they’ll end up being good friends. Don’t want it to be like I have to lock Grimm away because he attacks Pepper whenever you two come and visit.... Okay, okay... two words - Piglet and Pooh.

I refuse to believe you’re anywhere near as irritating as Coop can be, Sammy. I’m looking forward to it, I think I could use the break, even if it’s just for a couple of days. And then we can come back and focus on Halloween with James, if he and Matt don’t vibrate out of their skins with excitement first. 

[PM:] Most surrogates these days are gestational carriers only — the egg comes from someone else, so they aren’t technically the baby’s biological mother. Traditional surrogacy means the surrogate is also providing the egg, but in that case she’s biologically and legally the baby’s mother, so she has to waive her parental rights and the non-biological father has to formally adopt. It’s the adoption part that could possibly be blocked by a judge, and that’s mostly because we’re in the South where “family values” come into play. Dad’s being VERY thorough so there’s no loopholes to come back and bite us, but traditional surrogacy is less expensive in medical costs and keeps it to people we know and trust. Which is… keeping me sane right now, I think. I think even Banner might lose patience with me, as fidgety as I’ve been lately, ha.

Umm, I think I was a really good big brother but can’t really be the judge of that, right? You’d have to ask Stacey and Stevie if I am one or not. When are you guys leaving? Do you need a bunny-sitter or is auntie Stells going to look after him? Oh, I can totally see them not making it to Halloween without at least one day of breaking into the candy supply already. Maybe also testing out the costumes. 

I’ll only send you recipes that actually turn out good, how about that? I miss your dad’s grilling skills, I need him to make me some short ribs someday soon. Banner can have his own delicious treatos, but I’m determined to get on Grimm’s good side!

Deal!! And if ya need a tester when you’re making cookies or whatnot you know where to find me. He’ll love it if you ask him to make you some. He’d totally fire up the grill for you. Ha, you already won over Banner, he’s just acting like a big brother that’s a little jealous at all the attention Grimm’s getting at the moment. Bring Grimm some catnip and I just know you’ll be his fave forever. 

Quinn: I'm just.. The other night brought up a lot for me, and I don't know how to process it.

Quinn: I'm sad all over again, and I pushed so much down for so long, and I'm just having a hard time.

Sam: I can understand that. I'm still trying to wrap my mind around it all so I can only imagine how hard it must have been like for you all those years ago. To have to go through all you have and then giving up JJ while you had nobody there to talk to.

Sam: Please know that I'm not mad at you, if that's what you were thinking. Not mad at you at all. Mad at your mom, yes! At you? No!! Actually kinda proud of you that you managed up the courage to tell me about JJ. That must have been hard to do.
