This morning I started by repeating tasks in Excel. Then I dug out my tax and fees book and started highlighting important chapters and topics that might be useful at the office. I didn't have much time today. I could do more; tomorrow I have the whole day to myself and I plan to spend it all studying. Besides, I'm already having problems submitting my internship application documents. I hope to resolve it by Friday, because then I'm leaving 😭

my summer semester is officially over and i am still very behind on my independent study work lol
yesterday i spent ages waiting for ArcGIS to run a tool for a crime mapping lab. i honestly enjoyed the course overall; it was easy and unlike anything i'd taken before
i've also been to the gym twice this week which i'm very happy about. my goal this coming semester is to get in shape again

Properly starting the research for my next seminar paper today, topic being the modern day reception of welsh journalist Gareth Jones. I like the topic, but i‘m having a hard time getting back into the work rhythm of reading research lit for hours on end. Have reactivated my friend library alliance to at least get myself out of the house to work most days. Maybe reactivating this blog will keep me motivated?

Picked thesis writing back up after I put it on hold this Spring; although I wrote so little back then it's as if I started today. It is. Not going well lol I enjoyed writing my BSc thesis but now I am Struggling™️ with this Master's. I know what I want to write about and I have some really good sources, but the writing just doesn't flow out of my mind like it usually does. Hopefully it's just a matter of getting back into a routine though.

May 13 2026: Kind of a rough day. Lots of scientific writing (6 hours) and I'm still not done. I'm taking a break now though, and I'm going to finish my essays tomorrow. Also, on Friday, I'm doing my CPR certification exam! Then I graduate omg!!
Okay so clearly I didn't stick with my previous timetable lol. I have to finish it by this weekend tho, because I have to submit an abstract in August and it's the first time I'll properly be getting into law and finance, so I need a lot of time to research for that
