Hello world, here again trying ti reaching out to you for your hand of help. Here at Kakuma Refugee Camp, lives happen to harden on a daily basis.

I humbly ask that please join hands with us in helping our toilet/latrine, we need iron metal sheets to build wall around it and roof it. It's current condition has gone from worse to worst, every time wind blows, it gets dismantled.

Please help us aquire a permanent or durable solution regarding this current situation.

We'll greatly appreciate your efforts and hand of help, please understand that we can't achieve this without your support 🙏.

Life has consistently continued to be hash, systems have done their best to oppress the vulnerable refugees at Kakuma Refugee Camp. this is one of the shelters that holds a number of lives. one pit latrine (toilet) being used and has become a home deadly germs and bacterias causing infections to out sisters and young girls.

We'd surely love to improve lives down here but its such a tall mountain to hike without your hand of help. please if you see this, we request for you to help extend our voices of cry for help to the rest of the world.

Kakuma Refugee camp needs you, LGBTQ community need you, women need and children need you 🙏. please help us improve the standard of living by supporting us with clothes, food, sanitary pads, etc.

Somewhere in northwest kenya, abides kakuma, right in the heart of Turkana desert.

There's a refugee camp consisting of over 250,000 refugees and asylum seekers combined. Amongst the camp's depth, there are hundreds of LGBTQ refugees/asylum seekers hustling to making it to a new day.

If hardships were to truly to be defined in any manner, imagine Queer refugees trying to survive in a camp full of homophobia, discrimination and torture. Persecution on a daily basis and starvation. We've tried, created awareness, stood strong and visible against all odds. The change is yet to be referred to as a tangible outcome on our end.

This is why I call upon all of you good people out there, organisations, individuals and well wishers to come on board and join forces to save lives of those innocently perishing in the harsh conditions down here. We simply can't survive without your hand of help 🙏.

As we raise the flags high, we raise the voices as well. Please help extend our voices of cry for help to all corners of the world, we need you. Thank you.

Hello there, please share se love to the girls that are still putting up against the brutality of homophobia, discrimination, and torture on a daily basis in kakuma Refugee Camp.

The hardships are so inevitable that even taking this picture, we literally have to be as vigilant as possible. That's how cruel and human rights are being violated in this place. We stay resilient, focused, and strong, calling out for voices from different corners of the world for a hand of help.

This is what always makes us tremble, shiver, love in horror. Everytime it rains, we get to zero shelters. Rain constantly dismantles our weak shelters, it's torture on top of the torture we receive from the system.

On behalf of the LGBTQ community/refugees in kakuma Refugee Camp, I request help 🙏 not for just today but hoping to get a durable solution while trying to survive these harsh conditions down here.

Please if you get to see this, we humbly request your support to see tomorrow. It's tougher than one could ever imagine. Life sometimes feels like isn't worth pushing for, but we hold on knowing there are beautiful people willing to help. So please, Kakuma isn't safe, life is extremely threatened on a daily basis.

There's always a water crisis at Kakuma Refugee Camp, due to the highly populated Camp. communities. As you can see, poor plumbing work, substandard by those designated to deliver for the vulnerable people.

There are always unbelievable lines on a daily basis, and it at times take a refugee about 4 days before the get a gallon of water. Mind you people live in big numbers or families.

This is one of the most challenging situations in kakuma Refugee camp, this is an issue that we are tirelessly advocating for, hoping that maybe someone see us through and provide assistance.

The struggle for survival in kakuma Refugee camp stretches all the way to toddlers and babies. As adults all we do offer comfort, guidance, and love. After that, we also try to seek it from you dear friends out here.

If at all we could get someone to help us get mattresses and mosquito nets for these young ones, it'd be life-saving dear friends.

As of second January, 2026. The struggle to seeking for help to rebuild our shelters goes on, this is how terrible it looks and devastating.

Everytime rain drops, it worsens. Like I've told you before, we highly depend on this shelter, we share it. The truth is we can't do with it.

This is the current state of our toilet/latrine, due to heavy rainfall, the ground has severely cracked.

This has become very risky for all of us using this pit latrine, yet the rainfall is hardly stopping. And it's the only one we have. Technically, we need to dig and construct a new one for safe use.

This is something we really hope we get immediate help because it's such an emergency we can't help putting on hold.

Hello world, as of 28th Dec, 2025. In Kakuma Refugee Camp, we are suddenly closing the year with this kind of constant rain that's continuously ruining the poor shelters we have.

As you, our handmade kitchen has been dismantled, the roof is all broken in such a terrible way 😢. We wonder how are we supposed to wind up this year filled with agony, tears 😢, heartbreak 💔, and sorrows.

It's really hard to maintain a living down here but regardless we have to endure. We have no clue when this will end, when will this pain stop..?

One thing I know, We have stayed alive at least for those that have had the opportunity to make it this far of the year.

How I wish we all had a great one, it's very relative compared to the lives of (us) refugees. I believe youvja e prayed for us, wished us well, supported us. I'm grateful 🙏.

Much as we are still in a very dire situation as LGBTQ Refugees, we still have no way out of this day by day social injustices. We still lack durable solutions, we still can't afford a living without your hand of help 🙏.
