LOCATION :Â The Royal Square, Cair Paravel
PERIOD: present.
TAGGING: Open to all
In this moment there was nowhere Nixie would rather be. Whirling in a crowd with other dancers, passing effortlessly from one partner to the next. She knew the festivities would likely last until the break of day for some, no doubt she would be among that crowd. Naturally she would sleep straight through tomorrow, but that was tomorrow. As the current song came to an end, Nixie managed to spin her way out of the crowd of dancers. Her head whirled as she tried to catch her breath, heart beating like a drum within her chest. Feeling a pair of eyes on her, a wide grin tugged at her lips as the naiad met their gaze. “If you’re looking to dance I think I may need a moment.” Her words trailed off into a laugh.
Samesh meant to just peek into the square to deliver something he had sewn. Except his attention was captured and he was captivated by the dancing bodies painted with glee. He blinked, with an ever slowly grown smile across his lips. Sam’s attention turned towards Nixie with a beaming smile. “Oh.. uh no. I was just delivering something.” He held up the bundle in his arms, but he gave her a simple nod. “It did look like you were having fun.”
LOCATION: Sperover Marketplace WHEN: Midday WHO: Anyone willing to put up with her attitude
Vex wasn’t entirely sure which part of her expression said please, bore me with your idiotic stories, but it certainly couldn’t have been the furrowed eyebrows or the thin line her lips at pressed into, no. Those were completely perfect expressions of pure joy and happiness. Ah, she knew then what it must’ve been – the void that had become her pupils as she stared blankly ahead. No matter what it was, the merchant that had been at her side for the better part of a ten minutes had prattled on about Aslan knew what.
“Look, I’m sure this is a fascinating story, it’s just that I literally do not care.” Without another word, she brushed passed the half-stunned merchant and continued on her way through the square. The number of people that had been perfect candidates for a quick little pick of the pocket had dwindled thanks to her unwelcome conversation, so now she had no choice but to wander.Â
“If you’re wanting to talk,” She said the person who’d appeared next to her. “I’d highly suggest you don’t.”
Samesh had been locked in a deep conversation with himself it would seem. The feast had been something he had looked forward too. Not that he was among the royals that would be at court, no. His merchant stand was set up, and unfortunately Vex had been his first visitor. The social cues lost on him while he still rambled and animatedly told this story about how he got this certain scarf,
Visibly he retracted at her words as if it were a slap to his face. Slowly blinking as he seemed to try to comprehend what had just transpired. Dark hues flickered to something on his stand that was not his own. He bit his bottom lip, and decided a few minutes from his stand wouldn’t jeopardize his coin. He trusted a bit too much, and quickly ran upon the woman he had clearly annoyed. “Miss!” He called out and waved the item in his hand. “N-No. Sorry, but I believe you dropped this.”Â
