7 years ago today an album was released that completely changed my life. This is the album that started my journey of being a Taylor Swift fan but it is also the album that helped me through a really tough time in my life. After listening to this album over and over again and watching the concert dvd over and over again, something stuck out to me. Before the concert started Taylor would play herself speaking the prologue of the actual album (the prologue itself was written in the cd booklet) The last paragraph of the prologue said “But if you know how you feel, and you so clearly know what you need to say, you’ll know it. I don’t think you should wait. I think you should speak now”. This album gave me the strength to come out and i will forever owe that to her. Not only is this an incredible album written entirely by a 19 year old girl with no co-writers, but it also changed my life. Happy 7th Birthday and thank you for giving me the courage to Speak Now. ❤️ @taylorswift
