Since my last update, I have been working on the stylization for my IF, Apricity. When I say stylization, I mean the background, word colouring, adding different font options (example: Open Dyslexia font), fixing the sidebar so that it has the character’s statistic page, and, of course, the map.
“Oooo AHH, did someone say map?”
I plan for the map to be clickable, so when side quests pop up, you can just click to where you need to go.
So, Apricity is going to be choice-heavy, and throughout the in-game, there will be many checkpoints.
If you have a certain amount of, let’s say, mana points, then during a part of the story, you might get shown two choices.
“Should I do something special to cheer Azreal up?"
“No, just let him wallow in his pity.”
If you have enough mana points, then both options will show up as selectable.
However, if you do not have enough, then only the latter will show up.
Along with these other things, I am also working on the cover page that will be shown when you click the game.
The cover page is home for: the blurb for the story, as well as a short introduction to the important characters in the story, plus bust pictures of them. Exciting right!
I plan to release the demo around the end of July.
The good thing is I already have most of the prolog written. So, by the time July 20th rolls around, I should be ready to release.
