' i do hope all that was worth the attention , mate. ' attention that was already swiftly fading.
The music was loud enough to shake the walls, bodies packed shoulder to shoulder throughout the Lockwood estate as laughter and drunken conversations blended into one endless blur of noise. Anora stood near the edge of it all, a red cup dangling loosely from her fingers as she watched the crowd rather than joined it.
with a quiet sigh, she slipped away from the main crowd and headed toward the back patio in search of fresh air. The moment she stepped outside, the noise dulled behind her.
