I can finally say that I'm finishing up the demo. Initially, it will be released in two main languages (English and Portuguese), that is, if before I release the demo I also manage to translate it into Spanish. If that happens, the demo will be released in three languages (English, Portuguese, Spanish). I'm really excited for when I'll be able to make the official post about the project's release.

Finally! I think the game's music is finalized, at least for the demo. But I managed to get a lot done ahead of time, I have to admit. I don't understand anything about music, but I had to research everything, ask for help, and I feel like this was the most complicated part of the project so far.

Finalmente! Acho que as músicas do jogo estão finalizadas, ao menos para a demo. Mas consegui adiantar muita coisa, devo admitir. Não entendo nada de música, mas tive que pesquisar tudo, pedir ajuda e sinto que essa foi a parte mais complicada do projeto até agora.
I’d like to show the latest version sent for the Pierrot plush! There are still a few adjustments that some of you probably noticed, and after a Patreon poll, it was sent back for corrections once again!
The older smiling version just wasn’t turning out right for me. Maybe my drawings or the way I explained things weren’t clear enough during production, so I decided to go with this version instead (which also has a matching sprite in the new update), and it seemed to fit much better to me.
This is my first time doing a campaign like this, so I’ve been learning a lot throughout the process in case I decide to do more campaigns for the next characters in the future. At the moment, this version of Pierrot is being corrected regarding the mark on the left side of the mask, as well as the sleeves and gloves on the arms. As soon as I have more updates, I’ll keep you all informed!
And just as another reminder, this is a collaboration campaign with Gimme Swag, so it will only be available through their website, even for people who didn’t participate in the initial campaign. I’ll let you all know when he becomes available there as well!

Gostaria de mostrar a ultima versão enviada do boneco do Pierrot! Ainda tem alguns ajustes que vocês devem ter notado que depois de uma votação dos Patreons, foi enviado para correções novamente!
A antiga versão com o sorriso não estava saindo certa para mim, talvez meus desenhos ou a forma que expliquei não foram muito claras na hora de confecciona-lo, então optei por essa versão ( que tem um sprite correspondente na nova atualização) E que pareceu encaixar melhor.
Essa é a primeira vez que faço uma campanha dessas então estou aprendendo bastante durante o processo caso eu venha a fazer outras campanhas para os próximos personagens.
Nesse momento Essa versão do Pierrot esta sendo corrigida a marca do lado esquerdo na mascara e a manga e luvas dos braços, assim que tiver mais atualizações sobre manterei vocês informados!

I made a playlist to listen to while I draw and program the project, and something that's been inspiring me a lot is that song 'Eu sem Você' - Lilian's version. Some Kamaitachi songs have also been my biggest hyperfixations recently because of the characters you all will get to know. I've been holding back a lot to not say anything that gives too much away about them, but honestly, I'm starting to give up and I really want to talk. 😫

I've decided to divide the days into acts. Act 1 = Day one. Act 2 = Day two. Depending on how long an act ends up being, it might last more than one day. What I'm estimating for the entire visual novel is around 3 to 5 acts.

In the background production for the demo, I've just finished programming the menu, and I'm really happy with how it turned out. I'm still thinking a lot about whether I'll change it when I release the first act version, but that's something only you all will tell me!

She drew two of our characters just… being themselves. Except one of them is literally shooting at the protagonist (MC – that's you, folks), and the other one is standing there like ‘-‘ completely shocked.
I asked her: "Why is he shooting??"
She said: "He has his reasons."

Me and my co-creator are organizing the VN's map and we've been stuck forever debating the museum layout. The places made zero sense in a bad way. we need zero sense in a good way. Too bad none of us three (Clanari, Maresia, and M&M) know anything about architecture. @m3mkkj

About my game
Currently working on a visual novel game, titled The Clockmaker's Tales. It's an interactive visual novel where you, as the player, interact with different characters and question them to find the truth. This game doesn't give you a list of answers to choose from, instead you will be given an input box to talk to the characters directly, and be part of their own story. :)

Synopsis:
You're a traveler who takes a refuge in a clock shop to shelter from rain. The shopowner, a clockmaker, offers to tell you a story to keep you company while you wait for the rain to calm down. As you listen to their tales, however, you drift asleep...
When you wake up, you realize you're no longer in the clock shop. In fact, you have no idea where you are at all. Then a girl comes up to you, asking you to find her missing brother.
However, something tells you that her case is not as simple as it might seem...
Gameplay:
In every chapter, there will be a small section where a player can enter in the dialogue box freely. There, you wil be given hints on sets of questions to ask in order to progress the story (things the player absolutely needs to know). After that, it's free range! You can either end the conversation, or ask more if you're a lore enthusiast.
Disclaimer:
The conversation system is NOT made by generative AI, which means all the dialogue is 100% written by me and will always be the same for all players.
That being said, intfloat/e5-base, the open source model I use for text filtering and question matching is a trained model, and is basically a form of AI.
I don't support the use of generative AI in art, nor do I approve of the massive environmental waste produced by data centers. So this is one of my attempts at using AI in a way that isn't continuously using energy to generate results, but rather using an already trained data model that can run locally on any computer (sine it's not constantly generating something it doesn't need high gpu to run)
About my project
So you might be wondering why I'm separating my project from my game, it's because while the game I'm currently working on is part of my passion project, it's not really the main goal.
Of course the game is still part of the canon and is related to the main story, but it's still a side-story or let's say some sort of a short story to get people a bit familiar with the world.
I will be updating this post with more concept art / idea related to the main project (which is also a game! just not a visual novel one), but since most of my time is spent on the visual novel, it will be a while before that happens.
The main concept of the universe is taht time = magic. And clocks are tools to use magic (like wands) rather than telling time. There are 12 types of magic just like how there are 12 hours on the clock, and I will be making a post about them explaining what each hour means (their day and night meanings) and how it matches with their personalities / lore. :)
For now here is my old logo concept art I made 2 years ago. It's supposed to spell Case Infinity btw (name has changed to none because I don't really like the name anymore)

I’ll be doing a test by adding more languages until the 2nd, just to see how difficult the process might be. That’ll help me decide whether I should finish the game first before adding more languages, or translate them gradually alongside future updates!
