Now I’ve grown up into a full-fledged liar. And loneliness says let us go through this again together, you and I.

You are a language I am no longer fluent in / but still remember how to read.

Even if you know what’s coming, you’re never prepared for how it feels.

You never apologized for hurting me, but I apologized 12 times for being angry about it.

and if I’d known that hug would be our last, I would’ve held onto you tighter, so you may feel the pulse of my heart speed up, as it solemnly broke down.

You aren’t thinking about me, you never are. So I shouldn’t be missing you this much. There is this emptiness clawing from the inside of my chest. No matter how hard I try I can’t ignore it. I can’t ignore you. I say I wish it would stop. In reality, I just wish you would feel the same.
