customised my copy of phm so here's the covers + spine + some pages i'm quite proud of :3

my friend helped with the cover!!! the engineering of it + the watercolours on grace are him :DD

#project hail mary #phm #my art #for the record i did freehand all the chapter headers (??) but these are the ones i like the best #we spent like 4? 5? total hours on the cover so i wanna yap about it #the base is just construction paper that i painted on with acrylics using my finger (lol)#but there's a second layer of card to it to make it sturdier (that's my friend's work)#the black for the top half of the front cover + the spine is card as well #and the lettering on it is white paint marker #the graces on the front were inked in gel pen (me) and then coloured with watercolours in (my friend)#and the “red tape” is acrylic again #the two panels on the back are red construction paper and then a combination of marker + paint pen + oil pastels + colour pencil #rocky is construction paper + oil pastels!#and then i sealed everything up in mod podge (that i realise is making the covers reflect a little too much... oops)#okay that's a lot of yap but hehe i love talking about my process!! and today was a really fun day too i got to spend all of it on this #:DDD day well spent

today's apple, Zestar!, originates from the US in 1972 and are also known as Minnewashta and Flavar apples. they can withstand severe cold conditions, as tested by the University of Minnesota. a license is required to grow Zestar! trees outside the US.

today's apple, the X-4982, was developed in France in 1985 and then tested in Canada. it is a cross between the Gala and Florina varieties, and is marketed as Galarina.
