On one hand, some of the structures of Ignihyde looks like a few temples she saw in Valm…but on the other hand, what were those glowing blue…blobs and squares floating around it?

And how was she going to find the recipient of the Headmage’s letter like this??

But…she decides to keep going; she still had a task to do after all.

Thus, albeit a bit slower, more cautiously, she takes Ortho’s hand.

So many boxes and parts glowing a variety of colors. Small statues, paintings(?) and books on the shelves or on a variety of desks. Small bags sat near a smaller version of the devices she’d seen in the dorm. Pieces of cloth scattered on the floor…along with a few creatures either huddled near Idia or floating above his head (the mentioned Rotom).

And the owner of this room…

Long blue hair that moved like flames…

Compared to everything she’d seen…Esther felt a bit out of place.

Her gaze focused on the various creatures around the housewarden as Ortho and Idia spoke, but shifted back to Idia once her name was mentioned.

Deep breaths…

“H-hello…”

Carefully, she held the letter up to Idia with two hands, careful not to bend it.

“Um…th-the bird man….w-wanted me to…deliver th-this letter t-to you. He s-said it was…f-for the next, um…H-Housewarden meeting?”

Hello!! Oh! Idia can I come to the meeting?

From what Ortho could see, it was a pristine (albeit yellowed) envelope, sealed with the school’s official insignia in black wax.

“C-Crowley had tasked me…t-to deliver this letter to…I-Idia. He said…I-it concerned the next…Um, h-housewarden meeting…”

Well, normally Idia is in his room (as usual unfortunately) working on his games or some other projects...

If you'd like, I can guide you to his room so you can deliver it!

Yet Ortho’s response felt like…a breath of fresh air…

“R-Really? You….w-wouldn’t mind?”

Oh? Why the long face, young Esther? The… nearest cemetary, you say? Why, I don't see why you would need to go to such a place! Surely there are better places you would be to mope around?

“Well…I-I was given…a sole-mi but important t-task…by one of th-the campus’s ghosts…to visit o-one of them…outside of th-the schools grounds.”

Meanwhile, the bird man’s questions did not lift nor contribute to Esther’s expression. In fact, it only left her incredibly confused.

The Prefect does their tasks dutifully . . .

SUMMARY:

The featured main performance seems to be a dance show over musical theatre.

Having spoken to many, the Prefect seems to have a good grasp — though many students

Prefect has stopped two fights — both between the same students.

Many students seem to think that the Prefect, a magicless, shouldn’t be doing all this . . . there’s an ominous aura in the air for everyone. Things are getting done… the banquet will come together. Left unsure of the prefect's decisions concerning things, rumors spiral that the Prefect may be the source of this ominous aura.

Though at the mention of there being a dance show…

Her expression grows sad for one moment.

Two people come to mind…both amazing dancers that have tried to cheer the Shepherds on.

The Prefect is called to participate in the count-down meeting with the faculty and house wardens. . . with overwhelming jubilant chatter, the rat bastard himself Crowley has assigned Ramshackle, a dorm consisting of a magicless human and an rotund dire beast, to participate as well! Though this certainly is a last minute choice, the headmage has his "confidence" in the prefect.

The conclusion of this meeting is met with. . . some mixed opinions. The faculty feels the headmage is too lax about a great event, but he brushes them aside! The house wardens and vice house wardens... well, they have their own opinions, too.

Without further ado, he ushers the prefect towards a room with a single line of aid:

“ Since I am ever so gracious, I will tell you that you can retrieve a task list from the wonderful student body committee responsible for smaller parts of the Mage's Banquet!

Esther had only been to one, but that was back in Ylisse…

Meanwhile…

“No, n-not this way…”

Esther had heard from some of the flowers that taking a shortcut through the maze would lead to a shortcut to the Heartslabyul Dorm. But considering she’s gotten stuck one too many times for the past hour…

She was deeply convinced she was gonna be lost forever before she could get the letter to Heartslabyul’s housewarden!!

(Yes hello Esther gets easily lost in mazes :3c)

~A disturbance in the maze, that's what the magic signature being communicated to his magestone is telling him implicitly. His shoes imprint along the path that opens for him, straight to the source. He finds a very lost looking Ester fidgeting. He approaches her.~

"Esther? What are you doing in the Rose Maze?"

Compared to Esther’s efforts, the ease of the maze widening to let Riddle through was…ever curious. The leaves from the bushes widened into curves, the trees billowed and curled away, and the roses looked…softer, more tame as the two of them trekked by.

She made sure to keep an even pace with him, passing through the endless plants and vibrant flowers (she thought she heard giggling once the two of them walked past them…or maybe it was the space playing tricks on her. Who knows!)

Eventually, the two of them wound up at the entrance of the maze, and with it, the Dorm’s Mirror.

Though with everything she had seen in the maze…her curiosity had grown.

Meanwhile…

“No, n-not this way…”

A familiar red haired housewarden found her in the same space she had been trying to trek.

“R-Riddle! Hello!”

The housewarden’s presence seemed to lift the stress from her body, though she paused at his question.

She instead reached for the inside of her cloak, fishing for something until she pulled out…a letter?

Yellowed, but it had a black wax seal on it, the seal itself stamped with the official seal of Night Raven College. She gently holds it out for Riddle to take as she speaks.

“Headm-mage Crowley…w-wanted me to…deliver this….t-to all of…the Housewardens. H-he mentioned it was…r-relating to the…next h-housewarden m-meeting.”

While Sebek was chasing Bun for dying his hair, Esther notices a phone on the ground! Does she see any sign of who the phone belongs to? OwO

And a picture of…someone from Di-som-na?

Esther picks it up out of caution, careful not to accidentally drop it.

Maybe someone from the house knows whose phone it is? Or…maybe she could find out who the person in the photo is and see if it’s theirs!

He was not an animal; he was a person…shifted into a cat!

(Don’t mind Esther feeling conflicted XD She wants to make sure Kalim is ok!)

"Mrroww~?"

~Catlim nuzzles Ester! He is just as affectionate as normal.~

The feline affection is GETTING TO HER-

But if it means Kalim was ok with it…

Esther will quietly get down on her knees and…gently pet his head and ears.
