I may not be the best person to ask, as I'm currently too broke to afford the books and I don't know how to pirate them 💔

I know that "Robespierre: a revolutionary life" by Peter McPhee is a good starting point. A bit of research on Google (perhaps here on Tumblr too as afaik there are some historians + sources) can lead you to very interesting essays and extracts.

Other interesting sources can be memoirs, although they should be taken with a grain of salt as they can be biased (some more than others depending on the writer and when it was written). Personally, I've read some parts of Élizabeth Duplay/Le Bas' and Charlotte's regarding Robespierre (I low-key sobbed lmao).
