“The lake is just across the enchanted forest,” Raven replied with a smile, “there is path just over there if you will just follow me.” She was glad that she was helping the other girl make new friends as it was her own friends who had helped her through when she’d been an outsider.

“Oh really? That’s pretty close” She smiled. She was excited to make some new friends, everyone here seemed really nice and didn’t seem to mind too much that she was the child of a villain. “Thank you for being so nice Raven” She smiled as they walked.

“I think a lesson can be arranged,” Raven spoke, “Though Apple is a much better skater then me so I suppose she’d be a better teacher.”

Raven couldn’t help but smile at the mention of her roommate. Sure, she and the daughter of Snow White were like night and day however after the dust settled and politics of their parents stories were tossed aside they had become unlikely friends. “Aside from Apple I suppose Briar and Ashlynn will be their as well as Maddie…and I’m sure Duchess will find some hexcuse to show off her moves.”

“Good I think I’ll need one” She laughed. “Oh ok then, Apple could teach me to skate if she doesn’t mind that is” Rachel shrugged. She didn’t know who Apple or any of the other girls were, but if they were friends with Raven then they must be decent people. “Well the more the merrier I say” She smiled. “So where is this lake?”

Raven was glad the other girl had hexcepted her invite as in hearing that her father liked to keep her identity a secret she was sure that Rachel didn’t have many friends if any at all and the young princess had hoped to change all that. 

“That’s okay,” Raven replied, “I could teach you if you like or it’s just as much fun to watch as it is to skate.”

Rachel was so hexited to get to know Raven and her friends better. Growing up she didn’t have many friends because of how closed off and secretive her father kept her. “No I’d like you to teach me! I’m such it’s loads of fun. So who else is gonna be there?”

“I’m sorry to here about that,” Raven spoke with a sad look in her eyes thinking about how her mother would gush about her longingly…almost too much before her imprisonment. “So, I was about to head over to looking glass lake to meet up with some friends to ice skate do you want to join me?”

Rachel smiled at the invitation. Most people here didn’t want to associate with her because she was a villain, but Raven was acting so kind toward her. “Yea sure, I’d love to! I should warn you, I don’t know how to skate”

“I’m Raven,” Raven replied holding out her hand. “Daughter of the Evil Queen but don’t hold that against me.” 

Pausing to let a slight cackle fall from her lips she continued. “Anyway, I didn’t know Rumplestiltskin had any children.”

Rachel took the girls hand and shook it with a warm smile. “Nice to meet you Raven” She said politely. “I would never hold it against you!” She told her firmly. “He doesn’t like to talk about me much” Rachel admitted softly, a hint of shame in her voice.

Raven nodded her head smiling at the girl who slid up beside her. “I am,” she replied, “There is just something extra magical about this time of year that I can’t pin down.”

With a slight pause she continued. “You’re new here, right?”

“I know, it’s so pretty outside right now” She sighed happily. “Yea I am. I’m Rachel, Rachel Stiltskin. Daughter of Rumplestiltskin” She said softly. “Who are you?”

“They are going to love you. Just know my tia and my abuela love to give hugs.”, Evie warned. While her own mother was cold and distant the same couldn’t be said for the rest of her family. They would be kind to Cleo there was no doubt in her mind. “It will be a fun vacation even if we have to act all lovey dovey around them.”, she smiled and nodded, “Very true, I can be a very good actress. We will have to be cuddly around them and we may have to kiss a few times. You know we have to sell it.”

“Ok I will keep that in mind, but they should be warned about the hugger i am” She teased. Cleo loved giving hugs and being affectionate, especially because she didn’t have much of it as a child from her father. “Oh I don’t think that will be a problem, you’re my best friend it’s only a small leap from that to lovers” She rolled her eyes playfully. “I think I can sell it pretty well, I’m an actress after all and I’ve stage kissed gross guys so kissing you will be a breeze and nice change I might add”

Evie felt as though she was melting as the kiss deepened. All the doubtful thoughts she had moments ago seemed to fade from her mind as she focused only on Cleo. Once their lips were parted she took in a deep breath and stared at her face admiring her beauty as she spoke. A smile spread on her lips at the others question, “I say, that I believe you and you’re much bolder than I am.”

Cleo chuckled lightly at the comment, holding Evie’s head in her hands. Bold would be the last word she would use to describe herself. She was a very shy and timid person naturally, but for some reason when it came to Evie, she would do anything. “I’m not as bold as you think, I’m only bold when it comes to you” She said softly.

I will be going on a semi-hiatus though for the time being. I will be responding to current threads, btu not posting new ones unless you message me directly

Evie left out an excited sound as the girl agreed. “Oh my gosh you are the best. I can’t thank you enough.” Turning she gave Cleo a hug, it felt as though a large weight had been lifted off shoulders. “Yeah, family is the most important thing to them and the idea of expanding our family is just something they really want. If I am in a relationship then they think soon I will adopt kids for them to shower with love.” A large grin was on her lips as she looked at Cleo, “So we leave on Friday and I’ll drive us up. Make sure to pack enough for three days and at least one really pretty dress for pictures.”

“Well I love the idea of expanding my family, but your family is a bit insane” She laughed warmly. Cleo always dreamed of having a family, people who wouldn’t abuse or hurt her like her father did. “Well lesbians do have a reputation for moving super fast” She laughed. “Ok, I’ll do just that. Sounds really good to me honest, I could use a nice vacation. We’ll have a lot of acting to do though to pull this off”

The thought to channel’s Cleo’s words formed in her head, after all what if she was simply trying to make her feel better not meaning her words. Then warmth spread on her fair skin where the other girl’s fingers brushed against. Her eyes looked into her unsure of what was about to happen. Evie felt Cleo’s lips meet her own and immediately her heart skipped a beat. The stoic face she has tried to hold onto faded as she moved her lips slowly against her soft ones. 

Cleo was so afraid of what the reaction could’ve been. Evie could’ve done so much, slapped her, pulled away, shouted, or worse, but she didn’t. Evie was kissing her back and she could hardly believe it. Her heart was beating out of her chest as she put a bit more force into the kiss before pulling away slowly. “What do you say now?” She whispered, her face still inches from Evies.
