Dear Sirius,

I know we both hate it when I get sappy, however I feel in this case it is necessary. I know we have not always gotten along, brother, and for that I’m sorry. I’m sorry for every mean word, every mean action, but most importantly i’m sorry for the things I didn’t do. Im sorry i didn’t stand up for you. I am deeply sorry for everything. I simply cannot express how proud I am of you for leaving… for getting out, for making your own family.

You know, dear brother, how our parents are with their pureblood mania. They were one of the first wizards to become deatheaters. However, when The Dark Lord decided that he needed more members, I was forced to get the dark mark.

At first I agreed to make our parents happy, however I do not agree with their views… so I have finally decided to do something about it. I have falsely earned The Dark Lords trust and have found that He has split His soul into horcruxes. I have located the real horcrux and replaced it with a replica. I face death with the hopes that when He meets his match He will be mortal once more. I do not know how much my sacrifice will mean but I do believe it to be of vital importance for the other side.

There is so much we never got to do. I miss you, big brother. All I ever wanted was to make our parents proud, although I see now that is not possible. I sincerely hope you got the family you wholeheartedly deserved with the Potter’s. I will not have my happy ending but I hope you do get yours.
