Suguru Geto's hands are warm. They're rough, and welcoming, especially during cold nights.
When your walking though the campus, hand in hand, and your laughing at his lame jokes, chest full of warmth, you can't help but get lost in his image. His built form, long hair, warm smile. His beauty.

hey guys. there's no reason this chapter should have taken me 7-8 months. my laptop was out of commission for a while, and i only really replied to some comments. I want to try and wrap this series up before the year ends, so hopefully I find the motivation to do soo <33 also pls don't mind how fucked up the time line is
“A fancy sandwich shop,” Nanami questioned, “that’s where you're taking me?” “Yep,” you grinned, “my treat to you!” You took Nanami's hand into yours gently and pulled him into the shop, the smell of fresh bread wafting through the air. Nanami looked at the menu above him, “They’re pretty expensive,” he hesitated, “you sure about this?” “I took you here, knowing it’s expensive,” you chuckled, “don’t worry about the price and pick what you want.”
When your turn to order came, Nanami picked the sandwich that sounded the most appetizing. As you reached for your wallet to pay, He reached for his, pulling his card out and handing it to the cashier. However, before the card could touch the cashires hand, you snatched it away and replaced it with yours. The two of you headed to a table by the window to wait for your order.
“Here you go,” you handed Nanami his card, “next time I say I'll pay, please don't try to pay for me. It wouldn’t be much of a treat if you did.” Nanami looked at you, surprised, “Alright then.”
The buzzer next to you rang, alerting you that your order was ready, “I’ll get it.” Nanami watched as you walked away, smiling to himself.
If someone told him a couple months ago that he’d be sitting across from you like this, he’d say that they were crazy and didn't know what they were talking about. He would say that there was no chance you’d ever look at him like that. He would say that he loves you, that he wants the best for you, even if it's with another man. He would say that he's content just watching you from afar.
He would say he's even happier watching you up close, watching you return to him, to your table.
“Y/n.”
“Yes?”
He looked at you with a dreamy look in his eyes, “Thank you.”
“For what?”
He chuckled at the puzzled look on your face. You sat down across from him, placing your food on the table. He watched you take a bite of your sandwich, then offered you the first bite of his. “Eat it,” he gestured, “But you haven't even—” “Eat.” You took a bite, eyes widening slightly, “It’s good! Here,” you gestured your sandwich towards him, “Eat it.”

You turned towards the voice behind you, “Gojo,” also noticing the person behind him, Kira. “Should we leave?” Nanami asked, “No. I came here for you.” You picked up your sandwich and shifted your focus back to Nanami, sending him a quick smile.

“Satoru,” Kira grasped the material of his shirt softly, "l-lets go elsewhere—"
"Were you cheating on me?"
“Are you being serious,” you said bewildered, “was I cheating on you?” “Yea,” he says, “you seem to know each other pretty well.” “I was nothing but loyal to you, you were the one who cheated, you were the one who got someone else pregnant, you were the one who caused our relationship to end.” He stares at you eyes wide, “So who’s this then? We haven't been apart for long and you’ve already got your so-called friend as a rebound. I should have suspected this the moment he picked you up from our apartment”
You stand up from your seat and turn to him fully, “You should be worrying about your pregnant girlfriend and not about what I spend my time doing. You chose to be with her, deal with it.” With that you walked out of the shop.

Nanami stood from his seat, ready to follow after you, “She’s just using you, she doesn't really want you.” He stops, shoulder to shoulder with gojo, “Even if she wants to use me, toss me aside, I'd let her.” Gojo scoffs, removing his arm from Kiras grip, fully facing Nanami, “I know i hurt her, i can acknowledge that. I know I betrayed her trust, but I betrayed her physically, my heart has always belonged to her, she’s always been my everything. There's no excuse for me cheating on her, but when it happened—”
“You should be saying this to her, not me. I can't help you.” The anger Nanami felt for you, the hurt, he couldn't take listening to Gojo’s nonsense any more and left the shop.

“What was that? What do you mean she has your heart?” Kira questioned. “Don’t worry about it, it's nothing. What do you want to eat?”
Gojo was hers, body, mind, and soul, she's done her best to make it true. Nanami lifted his eyebrows, questioning your actions.
“Let’s go on a date.”
“A date,” he questioned, “with me?”
“Of course, who else,” you smiled softly at his cute reaction, “I want to thank you for everything, so let’s go on a date.” “Do you mean as in “let’s hang out” or you want to treat me to something?” “I mean it as in let’s go on an actual, real date. I want to go on a date with you Nanami.”
He couldn’t believe it. Nanami was dumbfounded with your new sense of confidence and bluntness. Did you really want to go on a date with him? After everything. He felt happy, honestly, but deep down the thoughts of being a rebound or becoming something you’d regret made him unsure. “Are you sure,” he folded the newspaper in his hands and placed it on the table, “if this is really going to be a date i want to know if you're sure about your feelings, i want to know if you’re truly ready.”

You flushed at his random affection towards you, leaning into his touch. You grasped his hand delicately, “I’ll see you later then.”

You put the finishing touches on Nanami’s lunch while he grabbed the last of his things and followed him to the door. “I’ll see you around noon, right,” he questioned as you handed him his lunch. The two of you stood awkwardly, neither of you wanting to leave. Nanami sighed as he leaned against the wall, “Why couldn’t this have happened later,” you chuckled at his childish expression, “is it bad that i don’t want to leave?”

Nanami panicked slightly, was that too much, was he coming on too strong. “I don’t want you to leave,” you looked up at him with your gorgeous eyes, so with a heart filled with love for you, Nanami turned and left for work.

“Alright,” you smiled at yourself in the mirror. You were excited to see Nanami, but you were even more excited for your date. You grabbed your bag and shoved random things you thought you’d need inside. You haven’t felt this happy and giddy in a while. You heard the front door shut and rushed out of the bedroom, “Welcome home!”

You followed Nanami like a lost puppy as he made his way to the bedroom. You stopped at the doorway, peaking your head inside, “Are you trying to watch me change,” Nanami teased slightly, “Yeah.”

You flushed, however you didn’t move, “Are you gonna hurry up or what,” you barked. Nanami stared at you in awe before breaking into a cute laughing fit. It’s not everyday you hear the Nanami laugh, it was amazing, “I’ll start once you leave.” You backed away slowly, planting your back on the wall as you smiled helplessly.

His laugh was cute, a total contrast to his stern demeanor. Normally he’d just chuckle, which was nice on its own, but his laughter sent you to another world. “What are you standing here for?” You jumped slightly, too caught up in your own world to realize he opened the door. You changed the topic, “Are you ready to go?”“Where are we headed to?” Nanami genuinely wondered, where on earth would you take him? “It’s a surprise.”

As the two of you approached the car, you asked Nanami for his keys.
Seeing in the driver's seat scared him. Your diving wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t good either. “Are you sure about this? Just tell me where we’re going and I'll drive,” Nanami opened the car door for you, “It’ll all be fine, just sit back and enjoy the ride.” Nanami headed towards the passenger side and got in. “Put your seatbelt on,” you instructed as you turned on the car.
“Well,” the doctor started, “the baby looks good. The only thing I have to say now is to stay in bed and get ready for the baby. Your due date is in 3 weeks but the baby can come at any time” Gojo held Kira’s hand, worriedly watching her. He thanked the doctor as they left the office and went to their car.
“3 more weeks, ” Gojo sighed, placing a hand on Kira’s bump, “you excited Kira?” She smiled, placing her hand over his, “Of course, Hikaru seems excited too.” Gojo chuckled, feeling Hikaru kick his hand. “Satoru,” Kira called out softly, “you’ll be an amazing father.”
He used to hate her.
But now, especially in this moment, her voice, her smile, has him melting. She’s beautiful, with her doe brown eyes and beautiful, silky hair.

“I proposed,” her hand stops, resting atop his head, “despite what happened I still want to be with her.” Kira freezes, she knows he proposed, but couldn’t help but feel the weight those words placed on her as they fell from his mouth. Gojo turned in her lap, facing her stomach, “How are you today Hikaru,” he smiles softly, “have you eaten yet.” During their few meetups, Gojo always made it appoint to talk with his baby, his tiny munchkin.
“He’s eating a lot nowadays,” Kira smiles, her dark, doe eyes shining with joy, “he’s kicking a lot too.” Gojo chuckles, moments like these are what make him feel less burdened by his actions, they make him forget that it’s you he should be experiencing these things with. “I think Hikaru wants some strawberry shortcake,” Kira patted her stomach, a large smile beamed down at Gojo.
Gojo sat up, his and gently caressing her cheek as he leaned in and pressed a gentle kiss on her lips, “Whatever you want.”
Bits of sun slipped through the cracks of the curtains in Nanami's room, and right into your face. You groan and snuggle closer into Nanami.

You sighed and placed your phone on the nightstand next to you. All you wanted was to forget about everything that happened, to stay deluded and imagine that being in Nanami's room and talking to him like you have been is your current life. “Come on,” Nanami leaned against the door frame, “Come help me make breakfast.” You smiled and practically skipped towards him, “What are we making?” you ask, “Whatever you want, remember.”
Gojo felt cold.
He felt empty.
All he wanted was to have you at his side.
“Satoru,” Kira smiled softly at him, “what’s wrong?” He placed his hands on her waist gently, pulling her towards him as he snuggled into her soft skin, carefully placing his forehead on her bump.

“Kira,” he smiles, “good morning.” She giggled as he pressed kisses all over her stomach. She felt complete, she felt happy. This is where she’s meant to be. Sure, some were hurt who didn’t deserve it, but she fought and she won. Kira could finally be happy for once in her life. There was no one to get in her way anymore, maybe a few things needed to be cleared, but she made it.
She pulled back to look at Gojos face, the man who could, and did, give her everything she wanted and more. She leaned in slowly and placed a gentle kiss on his forehead. “What should we do today?” she questioned, “I have to get to work.” She groaned, “Take the day off and stay here, you need it,” she ran her fingers through his hair, “and I want you here, i need you here.”
She needs him.

So how can he say no?

The lines between right and wrong in his mind have been blurred and mushed together, undefinable, unrecognizable. He wants to, but he knows he can’t.

You sat on the floor at the foot of Nanami’s bed and brought your knees to your chest. Tears ran down your cheeks at an agonizingly slow pace, taking your sanity with them as they ran down your cheeks and fell onto the wooden floor. You are truly empty and alone. He doesn’t deserve your tears, you know that, but you can’t help but give them to him. You can’t help but give yourself to him.
He doesn’t deserve you.
The cliche line everyone says when the female lead’s boyfriend breaks up or cheats on her.
You don’t want to be cliche. You don’t want to hear that. You don’t want to be comforted, but at the same time you do. You want to be alone, but you want to be with someone too, their arms wrapped around you as they tell you that everything will be okay. You want to listen to them as they spit empty promises and lies.

You take out a book from Nanami’s bookshelf and sit on the couch. Waiting for Nanami to return.
“It’s disappointing, honestly,” Geto took a sip of his coffee, “it took forever just for you two to get together.” Geto finally agreed to see Gojo, notably against Shoko’s wishes. Deep down, he knows Geto would rather not be in front of him at all, so he’s grateful for this fleeting moment to talk to his best friend.
“What should I do,” Gojo questions, desperate for some guidance. “Nothing,” Geto places his mug down, “you’ve done enough, so do nothing.” “But I don’t want to lose her,” Gojo leaned forward slightly, desperation in his eyes, “I love her.”
“No you don’t.” Geto looks at him sternly, “if you truly loved her you wouldn’t have done this.” He knows that everything Geto says is true, but he does love you. He deeply regrets sleeping with Kira, especially when he had you, he should have controlled himself better, resisted it, but he didn’t, and he hurt you, greatly.
“Do you think she’ll forgive me,” Gojo whispers, “do you think we’d be able to be friends?”
“No.”
Nanami went through his day with thoughts of you in his mind. All he wants to do is go home to you, the thought of you being there when he returns has him feeling strange. “Y/N, I’m back,” Nanami takes his shoes off at the door and places the takeout boxes he brought on the kitchen counter, “Y/n?” He walked towards the couch and smiled softly, you were asleep.
He crouched down in front of you, gently running his fingers through your hair, it’s soft, he ran his knuckles down the side of your cheek delicately, taking in all your features, from your cheekbones to your cute nose that scrunched slightly as he poked it. You groaned and opened your eyes, “Kento?”
Kento. He could feel his heart beating erratically in his chest, begging to be released. The words he wants to tell you are tangled in his throat, choking him, the feelings he has inside of him are aching to be reciprocated, to be put in your hands and for you to cradle them close to your heart, keeping them with you forever.
“Are you hungry,” he asks softly, noticing the dried tears on your cheeks and the reddening under your eyes. Taking your face into his hands gently, he asks, “Were you crying?” Tears began to well up in your eyes as he pulled you towards his chest, “I’m here for you.” He lets you cry into his chest, releasing every emotion you had bottled up.
Once you’d calmed down, he wiped your tears and kissed your forehead. He led you towards the dining table, pulled out a seat for you, and brought over the takeout, a few utensils, and drinks. You smiled weakly at him, your cheeks warming slightly. As you started to eat, all he could do was admire your beauty, from the messy hair, to the tear stained cheeks, and the snotty nose, he found you absolutely mesmerizing.

It’s been months since he last saw you. All he wanted to see and hold was you. He missed your smell and touch, how your lips felt against him, how it felt to be in your presence.

He left you, without a goodbye, without warning, like you had no importance to him. One day he was there, then the next he wasn’t. You saw him on TV during their match against Japans U-20 team, looking happy and exited. Seeing him move forward, running at a pace you couldn’t keep up with, effectively leaving you behind. So, as you watched the match you came to realize how different you were, how different your goals and purposes were.
So you let go. You separated yourself from him, from what was left of your feelings for him. You weren’t going to hold him back and you weren’t going too let him hold you back.
“Nagi,“ you looked around the café, unable to look him in the eye, “I don’t think we should do this anymore.“ A look of hurt flashed across his face, but disappeared as fast as it came. “Why,“ he questioned, “we’re okay, you’re okay right?“ He reached for your hand, wanting your warmth to warm up his cold hands, his freezing heart.
“I am, but we’re not.”
He looks at you, the desperation in his eyes fading, “You’ve changed.”

Gojo has no clue what’s going on right now, he’s absolutely wasted. The party ended early for some reason. He’d already sent Kira home, wanting her to get some rest. Now, in the empty venue, you’re nowhere to be found and he’s getting yelled at by his friends. “Where’s Y/n?”
SLAP
Shoko slapped him across the face, “Do you not feel any guilt,” she cries out, “the woman you were supposed to marry, who wasted years of her life on someone as worthless as you.” He looked towards Getou, who wasn’t going to bail him out this time, but joined in. “You invited the woman you cheated on her with to your engagement party,” Getou starts quietly, “I didn’t invite her,” Gojo retorts. “THAT DOESN’T MAKE IT ANY BETTER,” Getou yells, taking even Shoko by surprise, “when did you become such a terrible person Satoru? When did you stop caring about how she felt? When did you start ripping her apart without a care in the world?”
“But what are you talking about, what happened with her,” Gojo questions, honestly lost.
“She saw,” Shoko whispered, “She saw you and that woman.” Shoko shakes her head slowly, “I’ve never seen her so lost and broken.” Gojo stares at the ground, “How much did she see? What did she see?” He raises his head, looking his friends in the eye, worry and regret. ”Is she okay?” Shoko and Getou look at eachother, a silent agreement being formed between the two. Shoko gathers her things and heads towards the exit, Getou following in suit. “Where are you guys going?” Gojo yells after the two, receiving no response as the doors close.
It’s silent as you ride to your shared apartment with Nanami, your tears dried up. “Where here,” Nanami motions towards your apartment complex, “I’m going with you.” Nanami gently places his hand on your thigh, eyes softly looking into yours. You turn your head towards the large, bright apartment complex, a place you once called home. “Alright,” you smile softly, “let’s go.”
You unlock the door, stuck at the doorway, staring into your cold “home”. You feel Nanami’s warm hand gently nudging you inside, “I’m here.”
“I’m here.”
Hearing those words makes you want to cry even more. “Go get your things, I’ll wait here,” Nanami takes a seat on one of your island barstools. You look back staring for a moment before you turn away. You look around your bedroom, hand gliding over the surfaces. You pull out a suitcase from under your bed, unzipping it slowly, painfully. You flip it open, staring into the empty box.
Anger.
You kick the leg of your bed frame repeatedly, your soul crying. Years wasted, thrown away. You hear footsteps make their way towards the door, but you're too deep in your thoughts to react. “Hey,” Nanami takes your hand in his, worry etched on his face. You don’t look at him, you can’t, you won’t. You turn away and head towards your closet, taking everything and anything you can. You don’t want to leave anything behind, you don’t want to come back.
Nanami watches you pack your things. He wished, prayed that you’d be his one day, but after watching you be in so much pain, he can’t help but feel guilty. His eyes widen as you start sniffling, his arms wrapping around you to slow you down. “Breath,” his arms tighten around you, “it’s okay, breath.” You can’t. You can’t breathe. No matter how hard you try, it’s too hard. Your hand grabs at his clothes as you bury yourself into his chest.
Why does it hurt so much?

“I need to pack more clothes,” you break from his embrace and move towards your dresser.
Gojo’s hand grips the steering wheel tightly as he speeds through the streets. He needs to get to you, he needs to explain. He knows that he was in the wrong, That what he did was bad, but he couldn’t help it. He can fix it, he will. He messily parks his car and stumbles out, still a little tipsy from the party. He runs to the elevator, pressing your floor, wishit it’d go faster. His heart is in his throat, his head is pounding, and through all the worry and anxiety he can still only think about you.
He unlocks your apartment door…
“Hey,” he freezes, “who’s that?” He stops at the scene in front of him, eyes wide. You are with a man who he doesn't know in his apartment, a suitcase in your hand and a suitcase in the mans. “Is that really the first thing you say to me,” you breathe out, “after everything that has happened tonight that’s the first thing you say to me.” You take a step forward, your finger digging into his chest, “You do this to me and you're worried about who I’m with right now?”
The man places his hand on yours and pulls you back, in a flash Gojo’s hand fists the man's collar, wrinkling the shirt in his grasp, “Get your hands off her.” “Nanami-” He cuts you off, “You call me a cheater but you're hanging around with some guy who you’ve never even mentioned to me!” You pull his hand off of Nanami’s collar, “What you did and what I’m doing are two completely different things! You slept with another woman at our engagement party, I have a friend, someone who I trust, helping me and you say we're the same. WE COULD NEVER BE THE SAME!”
Nanami knows that this argument isn’t his place, it’ll never be, but he wants to step in and defend you, he wants to protect you. He knows you don’t need it, so he'll trust you, and let you fight your own battle. “Do you want me to be honest,” Gojo straightens his posture, “do you want me to start brom the beginning?”

You inhale a sharp, quick breath, “There’s a beginning?” Gojo motions towards the couch, “Let’s take a seat first,” he places his hand on your lower back, you pull away, he doesn’t mind. He glares at Nanami as he walks by, “Know your place” he signals with his eyes. “Y/n,” Nanami calls out to you, you walk over to him, “do you want me to take your things to the car or stay with you?” “Stay,” you say with no hesitation, “don’t leave.”
You take a seat on the couch, keeping your distance from Gojo. “6 months, she’s 6 months pregnant. You can’t expect me to leak her when she’s 6 months pregnant with my child.” Your world falls, 6 months, he slept with that woman for 6 months. “So while you were with me you were also sleeping with her,” you bury your face in your hands, “I rarely slept with her, before this we only slept together a few times.” He knows he’ll probably lose you, but he still wants to salvage what he can.
“She’s pregnant,” he starts, “you’ve got to understand that she’s pregnant and still needs me.” “Go fuck yourself,” you scowl and get up from the couch, throwing your ring at his chest. You're done with this, and you're done with him. “Y/n,” he follows behind you and grabs your wrist, “You can’t leave, I need you!” Nanami separates Gojo’s hand from your wrist, glaring at him. “You didn’t need me when you slept with her,” tears began to rush down your cheeks, “you didn’t need to be when you got her pregnant!” You turn away, suitcase in hand and exit the apartment.
Gojo yells out for you to come back, but you don’t.
And you never will.
Nanami loads your suitcases in the back of his car, closing the trunk door then sitting in his seat. The two of you sit in silence.
Nothing.
There’s nothing here anymore.
You realize that there’s nothing here for you anymore. There's nothing in that cruel apartment with that cruel man, there's nothing in that elevator where you used to sneakily make out, there’s nothing in your heart. “Nanami,” you whimper, reaching out for him, and as usual, he’s there. For the millionth time that night he holds you in his embrace, but for the first time, he buries his head in your hair and kisses your head.
“Don’t cry anymore,” he kisses your head again, “he’s not worth it.” Those words make you cry even more, “I’ll always be here for you, no matter what happens, no matter what you do, I’ll always be here, on your side.” Nanami holds you impossibly close, “So please stop crying.” He slowly lets you go, taking your face in his hands and gently wiping your tears away. “Are you ready to go?” “Yes,” you giggle and smile, feeling a little bit better.
Nanami takes you to his apartment, “You can take a shower first, call me if you need anything.” Nanami points towards the bathroom and goes to his office. You take a moment to look around, ‘This is Nanami’ you think. You take the half empty bottle of whiskey in your hand, caressing the glass bottle it lays in. You sigh softly and grab some clothes, ready to wash the night away.
You turn on the shower, first letting the steam fill the room, when you go to undress yourself you run into a problem, you can't unzip the dress. You turn off the water and leave the bathroom, making your way towards Nanami’s office. As you open the door you meet Nanami’s gaze, “Do you need something?” “I can’t unzip the dress” You both stare at each other. Nanami gets up from his seat and slowly walks towards you, “Let’s go to the bathroom.” You stay behind him as he leads you towards the bathroom. He opens the door and motions for you to head inside.
You stand in front of the mirror, watching as Nanami steps behind you, his hands softly resting on your shoulders. You watch his gaze as he looks down at you, not being able to decipher its meaning. The tips of his ears turn red as he slowly begins to unzip your dress, “Nanami,” he sums softly, meeting your eyes in the mirror, “kiss me.” You turn to face him, looking at him with your beautiful eyes, that he can never seem to escape from, he lowers his head slightly, then you lean forward, your lips a few centimeters away.
Nanami abruptly pulled back, “You're not in the right state of mind right now, If you want to do something like this I’d rather it be when you're not still shaken up. I don’t want you to do something you’ll regret.” He swiftly unzips your dress and exits the bathroom, leaving you to your thoughts.
You snack on some chips you found in Nana's pantry as you wait for him to leave his bedroom. Your mind can’t stop thinking about the scene that just occurred, you wanted to, you know you wanted to, you always have, you know Nanami wants to too, but you can see where he’s coming from. “Hey,” Nanami walks towards you, his hair still messy and wet from his shower, a towel hanging around his neck, “you can sleep in the bedroom, I’ll take the couch.”
“Will you sleep with me, I don’t want to be alone,” you watched Nanami’s face contort, “You can sleep on the bed and ill put some pillows between us, or i’ll sleep on the floor, I just don't want to be alone.” You honestly don’t want to be alone, thoughts of Gojo still in your mind, but you can’t deny that there’s an underlying purpose in what you're asking Nanami.
What you could’ve had.
What you want.
It’s right in front of you, only a fool wouldn’t grab the opportunity. “Okay,” Nanami says monotonously, drying his hair as he walks towards his bedroom. You smile. For the first time in a while you smile. You quickly put the chips away and rush after him. You lie down and watch Nanami place pillows between the two of you, leaving a little space where your heads were so you could see each other. You reach through the space and tap his nose, “Thank you,” you smile, closing your eyes and drifting off to sleep.
Nanami pauses.
He knocks the pillows separating you aside and pulls you close, holding you tight against his chest, “I said I'd alway be here for you right?” Your eyes shoot open at the sudden movement, looking up at him, tears threaten to spill from your eyes.
With a smile you snuggle closer to him, your struggles are whisked away by his warmth, and you calmly fall asleep.

“Kira Mizuki,” the nurse called out, looking around for the girl. “Yes,” Kira stood up, softly smiling at the nurse. “Please follow me.” Wednesday, the day of her appointment, she’ll find out the gender of her baby. Hikaru or Kanako. She’ll give her everything to her baby. “Come on Gojo,” she motions for the man behind her to follow.
As the nurse spreads the cold gel across her belly, she shivers, however, it’s not from fear or its temperature but from excitement. Together, they’ll take on the world, with Gojo beside her. “Are you ready,” the nurse smiles softly. As she turns to the small screen, her heart stops, “That’s our baby.” Tears well up in her eyes as she turns to Gojo, who’s just as mesmerized as she is. “Would you like to find out the gender?” “Can we,” Gojo asks softly. “Yes.”
“Alright then,” the nurse chuckled softly, moving the device to get a better angle. “If you look right here,” she points to the screen, “you can see your baby’s tiny toes and face.” She angles it a bit more, “And you can also see your son's little hands.” “It’s a boy,” Kira whispers, her soft eyes shining brighter. Gojo brings his hands to her face, gently wiping her tears, “It’s our boy.”
And for a moment, he forgot all about you.

“Kento Nanami,” you spoke sternly, standing next to his bed. He groaned and turned away from you, “How did you get in here?” You sat next to him and leaned over, hand on his arm. You leaned close to his ear and whispered, “That’s a secret I don't think you wanna know.” Nanami jolted up, eyes wide as he stared at you. Your hand grazed over his chest as you leaned in closer. “Nanami,” you whispered softly, your face a few centimeters away from his.

He leans in, lips grazing yours, “Y/n,” he groans slightly as you straddle him, “you're getting married.” Your lips crash on his, his hands finding their way to your waist, gripping slightly. “Nanami,” you pull back, looking into his eyes sternly, “you're late.”
Nanami’s eyes shot open, chest heaving as he looked around. ‘Time’ he thinks, completely disregarding the dream he just had. 9:30pm. “Shit,” he grumbles, running a hand over his face. He’s supposed to meet you for dinner at 10, but it looks like he’ll be a little late, seeing as how he has to recuperate. Nanami sits at the edge of his bed, his head in his hands, dinner with you and your fiance.
Of course there’ll be other people there, friends, family, coworkers, however, that doesn’t excuse the fact that you’ll be there. He daydreams about how stunning you’ll look in whatever outfit you choose, from your shoes to your accessories. Suddenly, his daydream is spoiled by the image of the ring on your finger, of how your arm wouldn’t be looped around his, but anothers.
With a sigh Nanami rises from the bed, “too fast,” he winces. Maybe drinking all day wasn’t a good idea, but at least he wasn’t drunk.
“Toru,” you giggle as Gojo wraps his arms around you from behind, nibbling at your neck. “I don’t want to be late,” you can barely hold it together from how much he’s tickling you. “I’m sure they won’t mind,” a sly grin forms on his face as he turns you around. You place your hands on his chest and push him away, looking in the opposite direction, “I mind, now finish getting ready.” “So demanding,” he smiles, falling back onto your bed.
“Where’d you go earlier this morning?”
‘Shit’
“I was with Shoko and Getou, we had some party planning to do.”
He watched as you frowned. You turned to face him, disappointment written all over your face, “I was with Shoko. When i went to meet Shoko you were already gone, no text, no call, no notification about where you went.” “Do i have to report every move I make to you,” Gojo scoffs, he knows he has no right to, but he still does, “I’m a man who has his own free will, i can go anywhere i want. Yes, it would’ve been nice if I'd told you where I was going, but I'm not obligated to.” You stared at him, eyes wide, brows furrowed, he did have some points, you weren’t entitled to know his every move, he has his right to privacy, but that bubbling insecurity inside of you won't let this go.
“Well talk about this later,” Gojo stands up and leaves the room, leaving you all alone.
To suffer.
The car ride to the venue was silent. Not a word uttered between the two of you. Upon arrival, Gojo softly grabbed your hand, “I’m sorry for getting mad,” he smiled that charming smile and looked at you, “let’s go out there and have some fun, okay.” You smile in return, though you still feel the same, and exit the car. Hand in hand you and Gojo walk towards the entrance, him in his clean tuxedo, and you in your dazzling dress. Cameras flashing all around you, yelling out your names, you smile as much as you can, waving to whoever you can, then enter the building.
Strangely, Getou is the first person to greet you, you were hoping it’d be Shoko, but you were still happy. “Miss L/n,” Getou jokes, extending his arm out to lead you away, “this way please.” Somewhere along the way Gojo wandered away, of course he didn’t take you along or tell you where he was going, but you wouldn't let that ruin your night. So, like always, with your chin held high you walked with Getou.
“Congratulations,” Shoko sheers in an obviously fake tone, “I’m so glad you're getting married and leaving me forever.” You giggle and give her a hug. Your eyes scan the room, looking for a certain man, then freeze once they meet their mark. Your heart stops for a moment, and your breath gets caught in your throat, Nanami. Nanami’s here, he made it. “Who are you looking for,” Getou whispers into your ear. You jump back and he chuckles, such a silly sight. Out of the corner of your eye you spot Nanami walking towards you, you face him, letting him know you see him, that you know he’s here. “Na--” An arm slithers around your waist, pulling you close, “Darling~” Gojo sings in your ear, “did you miss me?”
“No.”
He laughs then cradles your face in his hands, “You're so silly.” He’s drunk already. Barely an hour into your party and he’s already drunk. As Gojo throws his body into your arms you lock eyes with Nanami, then watch as he walks away. You sigh then turn your attention back to Gojo.
It was going to be a long night.
Now, you're well into the party, everybody’s tipsy or drunk. Gojo’s disappeared again, leaving you to sit alone at the bar. “You’re so pretty,” Nanami places his head on the cold par counter, looking into your eyes, “being someone's fiance really suits you.” You smile at his words. Sometimes, when you're with Nanami, you like to think of what could’ve been, what could’ve happened. Wou he had proposed to you by now, would you’ve already been married to him? You know it’s bad, but it’s a guilty pleasure of yours.
To look at what could’ve been yours.
But, that isn’t your reality. It could never be.
But as usual, time seems to fly by as you talk with Nanami, drink after drink, smile after smile, laugh after laugh, longing after longing. An aching emptiness in both your souls as you regret your timing, your past, as you regret the future that would '’’ve belonged to you. You stare into his eyes, you stare at his lips, the lips that look so soft as a boyish grin spreads across them. “I’m going to the bathroom, now,” you chuckle, leaving your seat, “I’ll be here.” Nanami smiles as you walk away.
You feel giddy as you head towards the bathroom. You pass by Getou and Shoko, who are having the time of their lives on the dance floor. You sigh, the giddiness fading away, leaving a pit of loneliness in its wake.
As you continue your melancholic walk towards the bathroom you pass by many people, some you know, some you don’t, some you noticed, and some you should’ve. You pass by many doors, some of which were actively pounding against the doorframes, others that were extremely loud. You sigh as you arrive at the bathroom, the storage room behind you abruptly opening, on instinct you sneak a peek.
But you wish you hadn’t.
“C’mon ‘Toru,” the seemingly familiar woman calls out. Then, out follows your fiance, who wraps an arm around the woman, your fiance who doesn't acknowledge your presence at all, walks away.
And never looks back.
Nanami, Shoko, Getou, you just want someone to be here with you, to tell you you didn’t see what you just saw. You open the bathroom door and slump down onto the floor, tears threatening to spill down your cheeks. ‘A waste of time’ you try to assure yourself, if what you saw was true then Gojo was nothing but a waste of time. A piece of trash who you wasted years of your life on. You wrap your arms around yourself, trying to hold it in the best you can.
“Excuse me, I think you guys have been in there long enough,” you hear Shoko slur outside the door, “I really need to take a piss.” You stand up and check your face in the mirror, later, you’ll deal with this mess later. The nights are about to end. You can hang on long enough. You open the door and rush past Shoko, only to bump into someone's chest. You mumble “Sorry.” and try to walk by, “Y/n,” you freeze and slowly look up, tears now freely falling down your cheeks.

Shoko exits the bathroom, eyes wide at the scene in front of her, “Y/n,” you look back at her,

You fall to the floor and wail, Nanami on his knees, cradling you into his warm chest, rubbing your back, assuring you that everythings okay. Shoko, who runs to your side, trying to figure out what had you so distressed.
“Gojo,” you sniffle, looking at the woman beside you, “I saw him with another woman.”
