A quick, likely final, update
Rewriting this post now that I’ve had the time to become a bit more levelheaded. I won’t be using this account, or Tumblr in general going forward, save to potentially respond to one or two ask requests I still want to fulfill.
I’ve dealt with a lot of harassment throughout my time on this site, and yesterday (as of making this edit), it reached the tipping point and became too much to ignore.
Attacks were made on my social and Ao3 accounts, including an alleged attempt to dox me that someone in my askbox took credit for. I will not be sharing that ask, or any of the other vitriol I’ve received in regards to this situation publicly. Attention is oxygen to people like that and I refuse to feed them.
I also refuse to quit doing what I do, or to hide, because some people with nothing better to do than hate didn’t like it, but I will be giving up on this site for the sake of my mental health.
I’m really sorry to my followers who genuinely enjoy what I do, and I hope that you all continue to enjoy my fics. I’ll keep writing, I just won’t post about it here save for the special cases I mentioned at the beginning.
I want to thank everyone who has continued to support me, and offered their love, and also apologize for my absence. I’ll still be on bluesky but I also recognize that not have everyone has an account for that site.
To quote my original post about this “Thank you all for the support you’ve offered me, this was a fun ride while it lasted. I’ll keep doing what I’m doing, but I won't be posting about it here.”
Thank you all for reading, and I’m wishing all of you well. I’ve purged every post from my account besides this one, and disabled anon asks. I really wish I could have kept an archive of my time here, but I sadly didn’t think of that while undergoing such immense stress.
I’m sad it had to come with this, but now that I’ve taken increased measures to ensure my safety, both online and in real life, I feel safer than I did yesterday.
