Because the whole point of going to college is to get a big fat internship for “work experience” and then be the immediate first choice for hire when a “big fat job” comes along. Because these YOUNG hiring managers are only hiring the YOUNG. People exactly like THEM. The hiring managers are all 26-year old kids with brand spanking new MBA degrees fresh out of business school. That’s why someone like me will never get hired in today’s job market.

P.S. Blocking someone does not make them a coward. It makes them sensible. People don’t want to see toxicity. It’s human nature. They are trying to protect themselves and doing what’s best for them, and that is to ignore anything angry or negative. Don’t call someone a coward for wanting to be safe! I have not applied for this job, and I have never heard of your company. I have absolutely ZERO interest in customer service OR remote work, so I don’t know where you get the audacity to think I would agree to something like this. Where do you get the gall to contact me by my real name and email address when I have not even TOUCHED your site?? I would NEVER work customer service! Then you have the nerve to go by a fake name! The car culture. People LOVE to drive out here. They always have some excuse to get in the car every day, such as “it’s my me-time. I’m never home, so I have to relax in my car.” They absolutely NEED to drive ALL THE TIME, because it’s fun and enjoyable. Their cars are their BFFs. Even employers are now expecting everyone who lives here to have a car for “running errands,” and of course it’s jobs that I check all the qualifications for and an interested in except for that one thing. I rely on a bicycle to get around because I don’t have a car and can’t afford one. Not that I want one, because I hate driving and I hate cars. I don’t trust drivers to do the right thing anymore. I guess if you love cars and love being in the car, sure, move here.

The wokeness. Cali is one of the wokest states in the nation. They allow transgender women to compete in women’s sports just because they FEEL like women. FEELING like a woman does not make them women. And then if anyone speaks out about unfairness and safety for biological women, they get shut down and threatened into silence by these sensitive little boys’ bully mothers and the government because ONE MAN’S FEELINGS are more important than those of a WHOLE TEAM of BIOLOGICAL WOMEN. This state hates biological women. All their decisions are based on FEELINGS rather than FACTS. I hate the Biden administration for what they did to Title IX. And no, I am not pro-Trump. I can’t STAND the man.

Lack of good jobs. I am already middle aged and have spent OVER A DECADE searching for a full-time career with benefits. Over a freaking DECADE! I have two college degrees. I have the experience and the qualifications. And yet every job I’ve applied to that fit my experience and qualifications, I was either ghosted or rejected from, because I “didn’t meet the qualifications” and that they chose “another candidate” who fit better. It’s always “another candidate,” most likely a DEI hire who checked all the boxes and had every single qualification that they wanted (Asian). And before any of you Karens come in here telling me, “wElL, iF yOu HaTe CaLiFoRnIa So MuCh, ThEn LeAvE,” let me remind you: I. Have. Been. Searching. For. A. Full-time. Career. For. Over. Ten. Years. I don’t exactly have the money or the resources to move away. I was born here. I have family here. I’m trapped. Torn between two worlds: moving and staying. It’s not easy to up and leave at the drop of a hat. I CANNOT AFFORD TO MOVE! I WAS relying a lot on doing DoorDash on my bike, riding around town delivering food, before that opportunity was snatched away from me by a group of fucking Indians on mopeds just because they “needed to work!” The Indian invasion has taken over food delivery in my town, and they probably chose to come HERE because they felt “safe” and “welcomed.” My livelihood was basically stolen.

A mom: Hey. Excuse me. Hi. Um, would you mind covering that shirt with something?

Me: Why?

A mom: Because it’s a controversial topic and some of the athletes might be offended by it. It’s not appropriate to wear to a sports meet.

Me: So? I don’t see a problem with it.

A mom: Well, a lot of people would, so I’m asking you nicely to cover it up. Please.

Me: Why are YOU so bothered by it? It’s just a shirt.

A mom: It’s a sensitive subject for a lot of people. It’s offensive and disrespectful to some of the athletes.

Me: Like who? Point them out to me.

A mom: I want you to cover up your shirt.

Me: No. I don’t have to do anything you tell me. I don’t even know you. There is nothing wrong with my shirt. You’re not in charge here. You’re just a mom.

A mom: Maybe so, but I can get security over here to escort you out if I wanted to. You are being very disrespectful to the athletic community.

Me: Yeah, like who? Transgender athletes? Because boys have no right competing in girls’ sports. I suppose you’re gonna tell me that your son identifies as a girl, is that it? Is that why you’re so butthurt over my shirt? It hurts his little boy-feelings? I am not taking off this shirt. It’s the only one I brought.

A mom: My child IS a girl. She identifies as a girl. YOU have no right to dictate where MY child should be competing! Your shirt is a symbol of transphobia and bigotry, and I am not going to tolerate anyone coming in here and calling MY child a boy! Have sympathy for others’ feelings!

Me: ‘FEELINGS.’ It’s always FEELINGS. Try again, sweetie. I speak FACTS. Girls’ sports are for BIOLOGICAL GIRLS ONLY, and it needs to STAY that way! Men already have their own category; they have no right to weasel into OUR spaces and invade OUR sports! Men and women are separate for a REASON! Your SON has no business playing on a team built for GIRLS!

A mom: Keep your mouth shut before I get security over here! You are a bigoted transphobe, lady! I don’t know who raised you, but you’d best shut your trap before I file a lawsuit!

Me: For what? Facts? Logic? Go ahead, Mom. File your precious LAWSUIT. Call your LAWYER. Because that’s how it is here in good old AmeriKKKa, isn’t it? Security Guard: Ma’am, what’s the issue?

A mom: Ask HER! She’s a toxic, transphobic bitch who has insulted my child more than once and is wearing very inappropriate clothing! I asked her politely to cover it up and she’s refusing to comply!

Security Guard: Ma’am, will you cover your shirt, please?

Me: I’m taking a stand for my fellow girlies. No, I will not cover my shirt.

Security Guard: Then we will have to ask you to leave. Ma’am. Ma’am, either cover your shirt or leave. Do not make us drag you out by force.

Me: You want me to take off my shirt? FINE! *lifts up the hem of my shirt up to my chest, so my underwear is exposed for all to see* Look, everyone! Feast your eyes! A topless woman is in the stadium! Look! See the result of perverted men who asked me to remove my shirt all in the name of ‘wokeness!’

Security Guard: *starting to look embarrassed as people turn and stare* Ma’am, put your shirt down, please!

Me: For what? You just told me to cover it up, so I’m covering it up so you can’t see the writing! You got a problem with the female body or something? Does this OFFEND you?

Security Guard: I do not have a problem with the female body, but what you are doing right now is extremely inappropriate. We will have to detain you now for indecent exposure. This is a public event!

Me: Indecent exposure my ass! What IS it with the patriarchy, anyway? It’s TOTALLY OKAY when MEN take off their shirts in public, but when a WOMAN does it, it’s suddenly ‘inappropriate’ and ‘indecent exposure!’ Why? To protect the feelings of MEN?? WOMEN can’t go topless in public because it could attract the ‘wrong attention??’ Why don’t the DADS start teaching their SONS that women are NOT sex objects instead of encouraging then to be perverts?? Huh?? YOU ALL HEAR THAT, MEN? START TEACHING YOUE LITTLE BOYS TO STOP OBJECTIFYING WOMEN AND INSTEAD TREAT THEM LIKE HUMAN BEINGS! Security Guard: *face beet red at everyone staring, filming, and taking pictures, grabbing me by the arm* That’s it, ma’am. You’re coming with us. We will not allow anyone in here who disrespects inclusion and respect. We will have to arrest you for not following the rules. I’m sorry you feel the way you do about men and the patriarchy, but there’s nothing we can do. It’s just the way the laws are written. They’ve always prioritized men. Life isn’t fair.

Do you have any idea how many scam messages I’ve gotten from them just in the past WEEK offering me some bogus remote work from home “job?”

Do you have any idea how many times I’ve seen the word “kindly” written in one single message?

I have screenshots. Both text messages and emails. Their names. Their email addresses. Phone numbers. I’m not filtering out anything for their “protection.” They deserve to be put on FULL BLAST!
