I'm so sorry I disappeared for like a week? almost two weeks?
recently I just got back into the swing of working basically full time after christmas and had some issues with a job I'd been offered which I didn't end up getting. but what can I say, I work a lot as it is so I'm not too disapointed. But my schedule isn't as accountable as a school one, and most days when I come home I'm pretty tired.
I'm going to start paying this blog more attention again! But it'll probably take me some time to get caught up. so hey friends hi

The trip to Noiz’s place didn’t take long. He didn’t bother to knock and just invited himself inside. Noiz knew he was coming. He kicked aside a fresh looking pizza box as he entered the same room as before, the one Noiz kept his computer equipment in. Mink wasn’t sure what things Noiz needed or had to do to open a Rhyme match without Usui but he knew it couldn’t be difficult for him.
"So, psycho…" he greeted, crossing his arms.
"I’m not psycho." Noiz answered him, crossing his own arms in a challenge. There was a brief silence before Noiz spoke again. "Let’s get started."
The world swam around them as they entered Noiz’s rhyme field. Noiz stood, bunny head on his own.
"Let’s fight."
He didn't believe that for second. Only a psycho would be so obsessed with a game like Rhyme, to even drag him into it on request. Mink fixed Noiz with a challenging stare. "I'm ready." he said, though it sounded a bit more like I'm waiting.
And then the world melted, colours distorting into a blurry kaleidoscope. They solidified into a grid decorated with rabbits and neon green. He cast a glance to his side, to Tori's online mode before flickering back to Noiz. He was wearing a rabbit's head and yet he'd said he wasn't crazy. So this was Rhyme.
"Bird, Zephyr. Set." he said without pause. Not that he knew what the move did or how much damage it would even cause. He'd just taken the time to look into Tori's sets and his defense stats. A slash of wind blew from beside him as the bird executed the move, headed for Noiz.
Mink-san is certainly an owl! ( ´∀`) Positively!
"Looks like you’re not the only one who thinks so, gas mask."
Clear knew how Mink was by now. He was not letting him fool him, no, sir. Behind that abrasive exterior was a gentle man of his tribe, however decimated it now was. His loyalty was impeccable, and forever would he admire the dedication he held for his people. He knew better. He knew he was a fine and kind man.
"I don’t see why I shouldn’t. Mink-san is very sweet to be taking this time aside for me." That alone was worthy of gratitude, as far as he was concerned.
Mink cast the white haired man a look, unable to disagree. He had let Clear waste his time with all this. It was pointless but he couldn't say he'd hated it completely. They weren't friends, that wasn't even a question, but if Clear wanted to drag him along in conversation, he couldn't see a reason to stop him. At least not now.
"Fine... just don't expect this to happen again."

Mink grabbed the boy’s arm, fingers touching easily around it, and squeezed impossibly tight, enough to hurt.
"You’re sure?"
Nearly every muscle in his upper body tensed, a sharp pain going through his arm. His jaw clenched tightly and he looked away from his arm before nodding quickly, eyes closed tight.
Mink crouched down to the boy's level, still squeezing his arm. "If you're certain you want this, why aren't you watching?" he scolded, twisting a little to make his point.

The look on the stranger’s face confused him. He looked caught off-guard, but at the same time, stoic. Shou watched the male look away and backed up a little, sitting back in his seat once more rather than leaning forward enough to get a more in depth look at him. The raven rubbed at his tired eyes with the backs of his hands as he waited for a response.
Even after spending countless hours in bed, he was wracked with exhaustion. Were he capable of falling asleep on the train without missing the stop to Aokigahara, he would have just rested the whole way. When he heard the stranger’s voice pipe up once more, he stiffened slightly, his eyes blinking a few times. At the mention of the forest, he swallowed.
Was it really so easy to tell that that was the stop he would be getting off at? And was it so easy to tell just what he would be doing there? Shou glanced down at his own sneaker clad feet and ran his fingers over the straps of his backpack. How was he meant to respond to those words? Especially the ones saying that he smelt like sadness? He’d always been told he smelt like wet grass..
"Ah.. uhm.. yes, I’m going to Aokigahara.." he mumbled, dismissing the elder’s last statement. He didn’t know what else to say.
The simple admittance of it confirmed what Mink had already known. Before, maybe he wouldn't have noticed the smell of someone giving up. Now it was a scent he knew well. The members of his team had all reeked like that at first. But thinking of them isn't what he wants to be doing right now, not when he's only an hour or so away from rest.
He could see why death looked like an answer for a boy so young. Mink didn't know the story of his life and couldn't know what he was feeling. He couldn't judge why he'd come to the conclusion that death was the best way to get the rest he clearly needed. There was just no coming back from death and that was what made Mink feel the need to do something. Even if he couldn't. "You shouldn't go." he said definitively.
"I won't try to convince you or stop you..." He didn't want to become a hypocrite in his last moments. "You know why you shouldn't." He shifted in his seat, crossing his arms in front of him. If he accomplished anything with this conversation he might die a little more satisfied with his life. He'd made his peace but he wasn't the same as he'd been. He'd let himself care too much.

Sebastian thinks…no, he couldn’t do that. Maybe he’ll keep it for himself..or put it on David’s grave. Regardless, it is a fine piece of work, and he’s wasted this man’s time now.
And he straightens his back, feeling it crack but he chooses to ignore it. God, he feels old now. With a lanky hand he takes his wallet out.
The gold band of his wedding ring glints at him, mocking him with happy memories. Why does he still wear it? Does he hope for Christina to come back? Maybe then he could give her the bracelet.
"How much?"
Mink seriously considered the man's question, bringing his hand up to support his chin while he thought. He considered his normal prices fair but something about charging this man at all didn't settle right inside him. The man was troubled by something and that was plainly written on his posture. The scent of great loss that came off him told more of a story.
He picked up the bracelet from the shelf he'd had it displayed on. Not charging wouldn't feel totally right either. With a glance he simply extended the bracelet to the man, pushing it against his wallet.
"Pay me what you think it's worth." he stated firmly. He wouldn't be offended at all if the man just took it and left.

"... nh." he grumbled, not willing to argue the point further. It would just be too childish.
He raised his eyebrows questioningly. "Don't thank me." He said, holding back a sigh. What was all this about friendship now? He'd never said anything to give that impression- had he? The thought of having friends made his stomach turn uncomfortably.
