some of the people who ship bad things are just dumb teens who dont Get it. weve all done things were not proud of online and i used to ship bad things because for some reason i just didnt realize that it was bad. i was constantly surrounded by content portraying them in a positive light and only ever saw hate for alternate ships. it took friends telling me directly to my face “hey your otp makes me uncomfy isnt it pedophilia” for it to click. i was an idiot who needed a wakeup call and thats what i always feel like i should be giving to people. dont witchhunt for the young ones, they will grow out of it and see the error of their ways eventually if they havent been groomed. giving them warnings wont hurt.

but if you are 18 or over and still ship this shit then odds are youve been around online long enough for someone to have talked to you about it. at that point its evident you dont care about the damage youre perpetuating and this is where other people will get concerned for the safety of minors around you. if youre an adult you should be fully aware of the consequences and implications of your ships. if you consistently say “Fiction =/= Reality”,”7 years age difference isnt that much for adults”, etc this is a warning sign to others that not only do you trivialize others suffering, you may be fucked up enough to think that its not a big deal and you could go ahead and do so if you wanted.

all we are trying to do is protect people. either snap out of it and wake up to the reality of your actions or people are going to assume things based on the content you like. absolutely no sympathy for adults who perpetuate this shit because if youre not a direct abuser you will support one.
