Yeah, she WAS acting normal at the end of season five, but that was before she found out her boyfriend’s dad was the supervillain terrorising Paris and had then witnessed his death.

We know Marinette wanted to tell Adrien about her secret identity once she defeated Monarch but since development took this turn (Gabriel being Monarch, Gabriel making the Wish because she dropped her guard, the butterfly Miraculous being lost yet again), she thinks she cannot tell him any of that, because she believes it would destroy Adrien to hear the truth.

Marinette is scared and she hates herself for lying to Adrien even if she thinks it was for the best. She is putting him back on a pedestal because she feels unworthy of his love and she is trying to make up for the lies she has told him. So no wonder her anxiety is back to the roof and that she is pressuring herself to perform.

And she has expressed it at the end of the episode :

"I'm afraid of messing things up when I'm with you. So I try to control everything, but I'm just ruining everything."

Só é uma pena que a Marinette super madura do final da 5ª temporada + especial de Londres tenha sumido com a nova animação 🙃

Because I know people are gonna be like buhhh Adrien hates Ladybug bc she let his dad die, but that is not at all the takeaway from those scenes or this special. Adrien had an emotional outburst when Ladybug was breaking the news, and rightfully so. How would you respond if someone came and told you your father was dead? After all of the other traumatic shit he just went through. Keep in mind where Adrien was and what he was dealing with mentally and emotionally prior to her showing up. He was already down. He was already in crisis. Where we last left him in the finale, he was having a full breakdown. Ladybug showing up and dropping the news is literally a few hours after all of that. It's still fresh, and then Ladybug shows up and tells him that his father is dead now. He has no family left. He's an orphan. Of course, he spiraled. Of course, he lashed out.

But his immediate next thought is what's important. "If I had been there-" Adrien immediately deflects blame onto himself. We see it at the end of the episode too when Chat tearfully declares he should have been there. Adrien does not blame Ladybug for his father's death. He blames himself.

Preguiçosa se a intenção era apenas não acabar com o Adrien akumatizado, como em todos os What If (tipo, putz, qual seria a reação dele? Ah, tira ele dessa então), e esquecer que ele tb é protagonista

E tem a questão dele ser um sentimonstro, que foi simplesmente esquecida no rolê
