Oh the absolute cruelty of Charlotte and Bill's deaths. Like one of my main takeaways from the story is that everyone is lead to their downfall by what they want, and what did they want?
Charlotte wanted to fix her marriage, but it was already dead. They were already doomed, they were both cheating, the counseling failed because Sam refused to put in the work. In you tied up my heart, Sam is still leading her on, still making her think that their relationship can be saved, that he still loves her and she just has to free him and then they can be happy again, that everything can go back to how it was when they were young and in love. We know it's not true, we know that Sam didn't give a shit about her anymore. She just couldn't let go.
Bill wanted to reconnect with his daughter, and he could have done that. He could have made things right with Alice if he had just listened to her, if he had just let her grow up and spread her wings. In not your seed, she tells him to his face that he failed. He couldn't save her. He could have saved her but he was too late. It's too late. He lost her. She's gone. He failed her. He let her down and now he's lost her for good.

There's this tiktok account that posted about these guys doing Nerdy Prudes... Now, they're known for doing gender bent Heathers and also this Ride the Cyclone production too. If you know what I'm talking about, you know the outfits, but I'll just describe them.
Pete is in suspenders and clothing like you would expect, Max is in a Letterman's jacket, Steph is dressed more emo(?) and alt (? unsure if I'm using this correctly). Grace is in a skirt and it's not TOO bad However I do like prefer when she doesn't show any skin really (like the amount the og costumes show)
However we get into a bit of a funk with Ruth and Richie...
Richie...is just a normal guy, I honestly can't describe it in any other way.
However Ruth... her costume is a green tube dress with some kind of scarf, and a small bit of wire as head gear... Not to mention the actress has acrylics and stuff on.
Now, I'm sure it's just a group of friends wanting to have fun, and they don't want to stick to the og concept. In fact they said they wanted to make it more Y2K...
HOWEVER, people are making the conversation as "nerdy don't have to be frumpy and ugly!!!"... while YES that is true, costuming is such an important part of a character.
There are many ways to make Ruth look nerdy that don't follow the og costume.. however dressing in a tube dress and heels seems like an obvious mischaracterization.
I bring this up because this same actress who is playing Ruth, has played Ocean in their RTC production, wearing a tight pencil skirt sort of thing and being more of a "popular girl" than an "obnoxious class president" (this is a watered down characterization, do not come for me).
There is no main point to this rant other than "costuming makes a character and it's important"
this is coming from someone who played Martha Dunnstock and was dressed up in EARTH TONES and other strange costume choices....
PS: they HAVE "changed" it, however it's just a cardigan thrown on over the dress... so....
