This year's theme was 'Seasons', so I decided to go with Halloween. Things were kind of lost in translation during the Ichigo -> Rukia -> Byakuya game of telephone, so Nii-sama ended up putting his own personal spin on the holiday. 🎃

Think I’m calling this one: The Wedding Planner

Okay so I’m reading We do Knot always love you, and oml it’s beautiful! You may not be a RenRuki shipper or dislike it to some extent, but the whole story proves how vital their relationship is to the restoration of the soul society. Then getting married (in Toshiro’s words) will represent hope of new beginnings during the time period where the soul society returned to normalities after Yhwach and such. After such a painful time for the 13 squads, after loosing so many people (Yamamoto, Unohana, ukitake ect), Renji and Rukia FINALLY becoming a couple and creating a form of peace in their marriage is greatly inspiring. I think the best thing about it was Byakuya’s inclusion. From the start he’s been a distant and disturbingly-bad brother, however now we see him in Rukia’s rose tinted glasses, except he’s actually what she’s always seen him to be now. Someone who cares. This maybe me reading between the lines but even though Byakuya was quite happy to pay for the wedding and such, he seems a bit disheartened by the thought of letting her go. I think it probably has something to do with their relationship finally being reformed and now they are getting distanced again, but also he wants to support the union, because he knows what it’s like to be in a position where the people who are supposed to care the most about his wedding day, don’t.

Again even if you hate RenRuki, if it hadn’t happened, the soul society would find themselves lacking the sense of hope for a brighter future. They deserve eachother and I have great hopes for Ichika! This whole story was adorable and the side stories were great too! The Byakuya and Rukia sibling relationship definitely made me the happiest and also the sketches that go along with the novel are adorable!!

Anon, I am sorry this took a million years, but I did it! I hope you like it! I started out going in a slightly different direction, stalled out for a month, then took some of my own writing advice and scaled it back a bit. It’s half Renji and Rukia being horny for each other and half Byakuya-torture with a smattering of Good Dad Akon and soupcon of ByaHitsu BroTP. Most of the good stuff is in part 2.

It goes about how you would expect.

Starring: The Kuchiki-Abarai family, with guest stars Captain Hitsugaya, Akon and Hachigou Nemuri, and, in an uncredited cameo, Hirako Shinji singing the Strong Bad emails song.

Rating: T for language and gross married people flirting.

"You may entrust your orange slices to me" is by far the best out-of-context line ever.
