It's kinda trippy. 11x17 on heavy paper. Screened by master craftsman and artist Billy Brakhage while he was still in Austin, Texas. From my DeviantArt--- Trev can take what sounds like a boring panel and actually capture the proper mood for the storytelling. Pages that call for an establishing shot then a couple routine shots are almost always boring to look at and you can tell the artist did not have fun with them. I feel like Trev's goal is to have fun drawing these types of shots and and make them as visually interesting as possible by combining both great composition and great use of stacking black against white. I tend to spend more time on pages like this than action pages. They are just so interesting to me. If you look close you'll notice all my black shapes are created with a brush shape. Over Trev I try take on as economical of an approach as possible, so no outlining black shapes to fill in later, just use the a giant brush or the side of the brush to create a larger black area. This DOES NOT work over many pencilers but over someone who renders heavy and follows the forms this way it looks cool and saves time and brain energy.

I like the idea of the kid not even caring about Batman as much as seeing a redhead vigilante. Maybe it will inspire him to run around bashing in the faces of those he disagrees with! Or maybe it’s young Matt Murdock!
