"Learn to see light". That's what cinematographer Julio Macat told me when I asked him how to get better at photography. He explained that beautiful light doesn't only exist at sunrise and sunset, it's around us constantly but we aren't looking for it. This shot was taken in a small strip between a messy kitchen and messy living room. The light from the patio was coming in and illuminating a sliver not much wider than Julie.
