Taking a break from writing it to wrap up Book Five: The Promise of Scars definitely put me out of the mindset of Book Six, but I'm back!

Now that Book Five (The Promise of Scars) is out, I've been back to working on Book Six in the Red Kingdom series (title TBD).

Since I paused Book Six to finalize Book Five, I've been using the time back to do a round of editing on the 85% of the book I have written in Book Six to remind myself the finer details of what it's about.

In just a few days, I'll be done with that editing pass, fully caught up where I left off writing, and I'll be writing fresh words for the first time in months (you can follow my progress on my website). https://ryanlanz.com/book-progress/

I can't wait to add to the tally number on my profile. Almost to 2 million words total and still working toward my 3 million word goal.

Today I dropped off my largest haul yet to the post office, deliveries of signed books for readers and book friends.

I've never needed more than one trip to the car to bring them all inside before. Pretty neat feeling.
