Cyber Angels was an archetype that debuted during the Gx series and didn’t make a debut in the card game until recent years. That’s not a bad thing however, as compared to the old days Ritual strategies gained an immense number of tools and resources to manage their costy summons from early to late game. Cyber Angels is no exception, having not only “Machine Angel Ritual” alone to summon their members but also mechanics to recycle their options even if they have to tribute Ritual Monsters in the process. Together with Fairy staples and the usual Ritual options, Cyber Angels can easily handle their resource as they take control of the Duel.

“Cyber Angel Natasha” is an interesting monster as carries pitiful stats to make a remarkable role in fights, but has an array of effects to take care of herself. Each turn, we can target any face-up monster of ours to gain Life Points equal half their ATK, that can go from 500 by “Natasha” herself to higher depending of the monsters available. “Natasha” might be a weakling but carries the ability to negate any attacks towards any Ritual Monster, an effect we can use with no restrictions and thus able to shut down whole Battle Phases with her pressence. But what probably makes “Natasha” a threat is her Graveyard effect, as can banish another Cyber Angel in there to revive herself (As long she was Ritual Summoned beforehand) and then take away an opponent monster to our side. Compared to other Cyber Angels “Natasha” might not stand out in offense, but her three effects can become quite dominant if managed properly.

As any other Cyber Angel, “Natasha” has a good number of options to prepare her Ritual Summoning with ease. Not only we have staple Ritual tools such as “Maju of the Ten Thousand Hands” and “Preparation of Rites” to look for her as well “Machine Angel Ritual”, but also archetype exclusive cards such as “Ritual Sanctuary” and “Cyber Petit Angel” to look for both of them. While Cyber Angels main option is “Machine Angel Ritual” there are alternatives with more unorthodox methods to use materials on their summons, like “Advanced Ritual Art” using Normal Monsters inside our Deck or “Machine Angel Absolute Ritual” shuffling monsters from our Graveyard. Keep on mind that some of their Ritual Monsters will provide bonuses if used as tribute, with “Cyber Angel Idaten” giving a stat boost or “Cyber Angel Benten” looking for Fairies in our Deck. And since “Natasha” herself can be revived by her own effect, we can use her to summon further copies and/or other Cyber Angels if we have to and come back later on.

“Natasha” is an incredibly passive monster due her lack of stats unless she gets boosts from effects such as “Honest”, but that’s not a bad thing. Her negation effect assures that almost no monster is able to attack her, and since this effect has no limit usage can also be used to protect other Ritual Monsters from stronger enemies. As “Natasha” stays safe from battles, her healing effect will keep increasing our Life Points even if is a small quantity each time, but as soon we bring stronger monsters this ability will improve considerably. When “Natasha” is defeated or used as material for other monsters it won’t be the end for her, as later we can banish any disposable Cyber Angel in our Graveyard to return and steal a monster in the process, repeating the cycle of healing and negating attacks but with an opponent monster at our disposition. The revival and stealing effect of “Natasha” also has no limit uses besides the Cyber Angels available in our Graveyard, so with the proper management we will be able to take several opponent monsters in one turn. But to make her nearly impossible to take down on her first arrival, use “Djinn Demolisher of Rituals” as one of the materials and no effects will be able to target her.

“Cyber Angel Natasha” might seem overshadowed by more aggresive Cyber Angels such as “Cyber Angel Dakini” and “Cyber Angel Vrash”, but don’t be fooled by her low stats alone. “Natasha” main purpose is to be in the Graveyard so we can steal a monster when the time comes, making her a material for the rest of Ritual Monsters in our Deck thanks to the many retrieval tools available arround Ritual Decks and the archetype itself. And even though will very rarely confront opponents “Natasha” can become quite the annoyance on the field thanks to her unlimited attack negation and healing effects working together, forcing opponents to take her out by other methods yet preparing her Graveyard effect to come back later on. “Natasha” might not be one of the strongest Ritual Monsters available stat wise, but her effects alone can easily keep the game under her control even if she’s defeated over and over.
