Welcome to the year 1998! A glorious year for Aperture Science, with the creation of our latest quantum tunnel device, or Portal Gun™ and the installation of our new central AI system, Genetic Lifeform and Disk Operating System, or GLaDOS for short! A number of students from around the globe are being invited to tour our wondrous facility, and you, student of Hope’s Peak could be one of them! We will be accepting up to forty students from your school, and we hope you can all come!
