“it’s like 80% boy troubles– you didn’t know?” nathan said, quirking his eyebrow. maybe he shouldn’t know either– he’d just heard seyeon talk to sinhye about it. but still. “she and aj are a thing now. i think. she likes him a lot.”

“wait... what? she and... and... aj? when did that happen?”

“if you can supply the costume, i’ll do it.”

“Nein, I’m staying behind in Berlin. Have fun on the rest of the tour without me, I’ll see you guys later in Seoul.”

“oh! um, bon voyage?”

“is it just me or are you starting to get tired, now? i shouldn’t complain, because it’s all still so exciting, but i don’t think i’ve ever had a schedule this long and packed.” hyeyoung giggled lightly. “i feel like i must be getting old, or something.”

“i’m always bursting with energy apparently so i can’t really tell the difference...” he shook his head lightly, “i’m sure if forty year olds can do this, so can you!”

“i’m disowning you. that was disgusting. you’re not my brother, nathan is. good god.”

“okay fine i’ll just walk away a stranger and we can pretend we don’t know each other - if that’s what you really want.”

“i know her well enough to know that calm and quiet means that there’s just a shit storm happening in her head– don’t worry,” nathan sighed, giving a little shake of his head

“have you tried talking to her about what’s bothering her? it’s probably unity’s disbandment or frontier stuff but still, you never know.” sebin paused for a second, “it could even be something like boy troubles.”

yeonseok stared at his boyfriend blankly for a few seconds, before bursting out laughing. “of course that’s what that means, oh my god,” he chuckled helplessly. “that’s completely absurd. and why is it kind of accurate?” yeon hid his face in his hands momentarily, embarrassed and a little red faced. “i hate that. i wish i’d never asked. i can’t believe you made me listen to that with my own two ears.” yeon sobered up after a few seconds, smiling contentedly when sebin kissed his cheek. he sighed and shook his head lightly at sebin’s last comment, though he didn’t deign to give it a proper verbal response, seeing the mischievous look on his boyfriend’s face. placing a hand on his boyfriend’s cheek, yeonseok leaned in to kiss him, drawing away after a moment. “you are absolutely ridiculous, jesus christ, i love you so much.”

“right? it’s completely accurate! like, the most accurate thing ever to describe me,” he replied with a laugh, still smiling at yeonseok. sebin shrugged, laughing still, “but you did ask and i had to grace you with the knowledge. i mean, if we’re being honest, i would’ve told you even if you didn’t ask because that’s what boy-” he was cut short, distracted by yeonseok’s hand on his cheek. in the few seconds, he figured that maybe being kissed by the older was a good way to shut up and move along from the conversation. smiling giddily afterwards, sebin just shrugged, “i’d want to say the same for you but someone’s got to be the sane one here.” he paused for a second before nodding, “and i love you so much.” although he and yeon had been dating for a considerable amount of time, the phrase ‘i love you’ still got to sebin and made him feel warm, always causing him to be silent for a few seconds afterwards. it took him the few seconds of silence to tilt his head slightly, “i think we should make the goal to go on one date in every city we visit.”

“loud. overly dramatic. incredibly frustrating. you know, the works,” nathan said with a wry smile. “i don’t blame you. i’m just saying– you’re a better roommate.”

“god if you missed the prospect of my cuddles so much you could’ve just said,” sebin teased with a light laugh, “that sounds about right, though. if you said anything along the lines of, well, calm and quiet, i’d be worried.”

“i knew it. you suck.”

“there’s someone who can testify to that last part. besides, would you really want me to be clingy and inseparable to you?”
