And sorry not sorry, but if I was DRUGGED and KIDNAPPED and FORCED INTO AN OFF-BRAND HUNGER GAMES, and my love interest (*cough cough* CASSIAN *cough cough*) didn't break every stupid fucking ancient law in existence to come and save me, I'd, oh, I don't know, reject his "interest." Permanently. I don't care if he "trusts my skills" or "has faith in me." Your faith doesn't do jackshit. Get my ass outta there. And I better not see any "he couldn't interrupt the Blood Rite! He would've been killed!!" Okay and? Die for me.

To be honest, the plot point of them being drugged and kidnapped and thrown into the rite never sat well with me.

I think it’s also important to mention that Rhys would have jumped into the rite IMMEDIATELY, damn the consequences, if it had been Feyre in danger. It upset me that Nesta, Gwyn, and Emerie (who all happen to have a LOT of trauma from men) were thrown into an arena of bloodthirsty men and the inner circle of incredibly high-powered beings “couldn’t do anything” to help them. It wasn’t like the rules hadn’t already been broken by putting them into the rite in the first place.

I know it was to further the plot/Nesta’s arc, but I’m tired of women having to be in unsafe/triggering situations just to prove themselves
