“How do you deal with it?” Yerin repeated, slightly incredulously. “What is there to deal with? If your bestie tells you that you got a cute butt, then you got a cute butt, Fabian. I tell Xi that everyday.” She couldn’t help but laugh, knowing that her comment wasn’t very helpful, even though in her case it was true. “Oh, um… I don’t know what to tell you about that second one,” Yerin admitted. Have you tried fucking them? She wanted to ask, but part of her suspected that his two questions were related. “Fabian, why?”

“oh so it means nothing?” fabian asked, eyes locked intently on her’s - mostly because he just wanted to know. “so i shouldn’t be taking it very close to heart then?” he shrugged, “no reason, i think i could be crushing on someone, i might not be - i just don’t know.”

“sometimes i hear other stylists complain and wonder why because i love my job. other times i have to style for crown.”

“are you trying to intentionally hurt my feelings?”

“how do you deal with your best friend saying you’ve got a cute butt?” fabian asked, head cocked to the side, “and, also, how do you deal with a growing crush? yerin this is important and i need help now.”

“I, uh…” Sean started to stammer out, still feeling the need to tell Fabian what had been on his mind for much too long now, even if he still had never figured out a way to tell him in a way that would make it seem like just another normal thing for two friends to tell to each other. “You have a cute butt.”

While that wasn’t what Fabian had expected to hear when Sean had begged him to skip a practice to come and see him, Fabian wasn’t complaining. He stood, arms crossed with his head cocked to the side slightly as he looked Sean up and down. “I do? Guess the squats have been paying off. Question though, cute as in small or cute as in fuckable? I need to know...for science.”

Daniel: I didn’t even-

“It feels good for Idol Project to be over,” Sean laughed, looking up from the table between them and watching Fabian place his head in his hands–that is, until Sean realized what he was doing snapped out of it as soon as he could. Fabian was often the center of attention, but it seemed like now more than ever, to Sean he was actually distracting. That’s as much as Sean would admit to: he was distracted. Sometimes. But as distracting as Fabian was starting to be, Sean was still glad that Fabian had asked if he wanted to grab coffee once they got to the latest stop on the tour. “How’s the arguably better bean?” he asked jokingly. 

fabian continued to smile as he listened to sean talk; it was nice to have some time with the other after so long apart. idol project, while it meant he couldn’t see him for a while, enabled the other to debut and now they could see each other near enough whenever they wanted, within reason. fabian laughed as he lent back, taking a sip of his coffee. “you’re the better bean, not me.” he said with a nod, “you won the hearts and mind of the nation, did you not?” he grinned again, “though, if you want to call me the better one i won’t say no to that, just make sure you say it publicly.” there was a pause as fabian sipped some more of his coffee. “speaking of idol project, how’s leader life treating you?”

“that was a bad word.”

“but it’s also a dog breed.”
