I will admit english songs have some really impressive lyrics but no one who doesn’t know turkish will understand how a song starting the chorus with the line “who is this stranger in your eyes, wounding me from my heart?” (kim bu gozlerindeki yabanci, yaralar beni yuregimden) is enjoyable to sing and dance to or even karaoke but the song that goes “don’t worry ur not gonna die bc u wanted more🙄” (korkma olmezsin daha cok istedin diye) has literally made a generation of people sh addicts.
