Almost, but the believing they died happened after the divorce was finalized.

Polytrix had a major blow out fight after a series of smaller fights (about what, I’m not entirely sure. Probably something to do with Mira’s insecurities, Rumi’s lack of forthcomingness, and Zoey’s inability to put up with their fighting). They ended up getting a divorce, and when it came time for custody, it was decided that each parent would get custody of one of the children. The initial plan wasn’t even to keep them separated, but circumstances made things difficult to arrange any sort of meetings.

Mira’s circumstances are that shortly after they separated and Rumi and Zoey both moved away, she saw on the news that the flight she was certain Zoey was supposed to be on crashed with no survivors, and with no identifiable bodies.

(Zoey was in fact so supposed to be on that plane with Jihae, but Jihae was feeling sick and throwing a fit that morning, so she never made her flight. Later, Zoey would call Jihae her lucky girl. The reason why Mira never saw her name on the flight she ended up taking was that she’d already changed her and Jihae’s names to Choi at that point, as opposed to Chavez, which, in this universe, is the last name Mira and Rumi knew Zoey by before they were all married).

A few days later, a grief-stricken Mira sees news that a ship that she’s pretty sure Rumi was supposed to be on heading to Jeju sank.

(Rumi’s name was on the passengers list, but she never boarded. She could barely get out of bed that morning, and was only able to get the energy to take care of her daughter. Later, she’ll take her own inability to move as a sign that leaving is dangerous and will become a shut in. She hired a private boat to get to Jeju after that, and started releasing music with a stage name and with her face covered.)

She tried calling Celine afterwards, but Celine blocked her number and threatened her to never come to her home during the divorce, so she’s unable to get in touch with her, and she doesn’t have anyone who she can verify Zoey’s status with. Any calls from Zoey are written off by her as having grief stricken hallucinations, and then someone pranking her, so she blocks the number. So she genuinely just thinks both of the loves of her life (they never stopped loving each other, it just became harder to stay together) and her two younger daughters died within a week of each other. And she doesn’t even get to be called a widow, because she wasn’t married to Rumi and Zoey when they died.

Rumi’s circumstances are that she became a complete shut in who threw her phone away after the divorce and custody were finalized, and is working overtime to repress all thoughts of her ex-wives and the two daughters she’ll probably never be allowed to see again. She wonders what they’ll tell their daughters about her, hopes it’s at least okay stuff, and then refuses to tell Hani about them because the idea of Hani wanting to go see her other mothers and sisters is so painful it makes her struggle to breathe, so she bans any and all discussion of them from Celine. Celine, who only knows enough about the fight to know it broke her daughter’s heart, is now even more convinced that her ex-daughters-in-law fucked up. Any calls from Mira and Zoey get ignored and their numbers are quickly blocked.

(But she still does keep an eye on Aeri through Mira’s media appearances and her socials. And she does her best to find out what she can about Jihae. Mira and Zoey might be dead to her, but those are still her granddaughters.)

Zoey has every intention of keeping in touch, at least for the kids. She’s been a child of divorce, she knows how it hurts to have two parents who don’t communicate, and having three who don’t is not something Zoey wants for her daughter. But every time she tries to reach out to them, there’s no response. It’s like they’re just…dead.

(But they’re not, of course. She hears music she knows must be Rumi’s because she releases a song that has an inside joke between them in it on the radio. She sees Mira’s modeling jobs. They’re just ignoring her. This isn’t what Zoey wanted from this.

the first time few times she goes on hunts after getting the outfit, she insists on doing a full “magical girl transformation”, where she puts on each item of clothing dramatically slow, and plays generic magical girl transformation music from her phone, while making sound effects with her mouth.

the problem is, it takes a while to put everything on. eventually, celine starts leaving for hunts without her, mira and (a very reluctant) rumi (who wanted to stay back and watch her “transformation”, which zoey insisted on doing in front of rumi and mira, even though it involves them seeing her in her under at one point).

eventually, even zoey gets sick of it. she stumbles out into the courtyard after feeling the pull of the honmoon, wearing sweatpants and a sweater. when asked about her attire by rumi, zoey explains that she just couldnt go through the whole transformation again. it’s annoying and tedious and the outfit wasnt that comfortable so she’s kind of done with it. rumi tries to hide her disappointment, but does a poor job of it.

(years later, when they’re finally together, zoey finds the outfit in her closet, and asks rumi if she wants to see her magical girl transformation again. rumi eagerly says yes to getting to watch her girlfriend dress [which she does anyways]. they discover not long into the “transformation”, though, that zoey has bulked up and outgrown the clothes. this means the shirt and shirt ride up and those and her tights hug her body just right-

she also lures them in with false senses of security a lot of the time. she’ll act all sweet to them, petting their hair and kissing them softly, and they’ll do their best to follow her instructions, but then she’ll switch tones and being cruel to them with no warning. like when she’s kissing zoey’s back freckles, and tracing lines across the constellation of them, before suddenly shoving her strap inside of her, without any indication of her plan to do so and without preparation. or maybe she’ll sabotage them in their efforts to follow her rules and act like they just didnt follow them. like when she’s being mira’s “owner” and tells her very happily that they’re gonna play “hide the toy”, where mira has to hide a toy almost entirely within one of her holes, and when rumi comes into inspect her work, after seeing that mira has managed to nearly completely conceal the toy within her pussy, she yanks it out a bit and acts as though it was like that when she came in, and then when she gives her “another shot”, it consists of her face fucking mira with the toy.

this is contrast to zoey’s topping style, which she usually keeps consistent and appropriate for whatever tone they’re going for at the moment, only changing when circumstances demand it (such as needing to punish one of her subs who’s misbehaving), and mira’s, which rarely changes beyond doting with the occasional chastisement. rumi is the only one who changes on a dime.

rumi and zoey take up watching their pregnant wife do yoga. they salivate in the background, clutching their knees and bouncing around because they want her so bad but they also wanna let her finish her set so that she can get all the benefits so they’re as patient as they can be.

as soon as mira’s finished, she gets out of the final pose, does some final stretches, wipes her face with a towel she has off to the side, and says, without looking at them, “alright, you two, im all yours.”

and then they pounce.

first they get her some water. then they give her a snack. anything she needs they get her, and they definitely go overboard.

and she loves the attention, don’t get her wrong, but she’s spent the entire yoga session feeling their eyes on the back of her head. she’s been anticipating them jumping her for an HOUR. she NEEDS them, and they’re ignoring that.

after one too many “are you sure you don’t need-“ questions, she snaps, grabs them both by the scruffs of their necks, and hauls them towards her so they’re paying attention.

“what i NEED is one of you inside of me and one of you on my mouth. got it?” they both nod silently. “great. now are my lovely wives gonna attend to that need, or are they just gonna keep trying to give me the same granola bar over and over again?” she glares at rumi, in particular, for that.
