sometimes in my fragmented sleep I slightly open my eyes and I see a silhouette next to me
my brain immediately assumes itās you
all it takes is a split second to realise itās all the pillows Iāve been replacing you with
to comfort my lonely, sleepless nights
but in that split second, I feel you, youāre right here
one touch away
and Iām blessed to hallucinate you
Just because you need space doesnāt mean you get to disappear. Taking time to cool off is mature. Grown relationships donāt avoid hard conversations they pause, then come back and handle them. Thereās a difference between protecting your peace and neglecting the connection. Although some seem fine with leaving things unresolved, on the long run itās not the grown up, emotionally mature thing to do. You want to prove to yourself you can feel whole again? Start by facing the truth. Take accountability. Apologise. Make amends. We are humans, and we have been born with the capacity to forgive. So the question is if you donāt ask for forgiveness in life, are you really sorry for anything youāve done?

āSome lessons repeat until you stop romanticizing what hurts you.ā
Healthy relationships include uncomfortable conversations.
HOW the PEOPLE WE ONCE LOVED become STRANGERS AGAIN
āItās interesting to think about how we make people who used to be everything into nothing again. How we learn to forget. How we force forgetting. What we put in place of them in the interim.
(ā¦)
You never really stop knowing each other in that way. Maybe thereās no choice but to make them someone different in your mind, not the person who knew your daily anxieties and what you looked like naked and what made you cry and how much you loved them.
(ā¦)
There are always those bits that linger. The memories that are impressed on the places you went and the things you said and the songs you listened to remain.
We all eventually find ourselves standing in the checkout line, hearing one of those songs come on and realizing that weāre revolving around them again. And maybe we never stopped.
Do you ever really forget your loversā birthdays, or all your first times, intimate and not? Do your anniversaries ever become normal days of the year again? Are the things you did and promises you made ever really neutralized?
Do they become void now that youāre broken up or do you decidedly ignore them because thereās simply no other choice? The mind tells you to go on and forces your heart to follow suit, I guess.
I want to believe that you either love someone, in some way, forever, or you never really loved them at all.

We all start as strangers, but we forget that we rarely choose who ends up a stranger, too.ā

Youāve finally made it to the part where I could resent you
If Iām so replaceable, why couldnāt you just say so? Why couldnāt you just help me close the door for my own sake? Did you not want whatās best for me too? Or is it just about you?
Maybe because youāre a bitch after all and I didnāt know you
It fucking hurts because I keep thinking this has something to do with my value and how much I donāt deserve to be loved when in fact itās got nothing to do with me and everything to do with you
I gave you my all and you just vanished like we never even existed.
now youāre with another, nearly two months after you told me you didnāt see yourself with anybody else. ever. never took you for a liar.
So go repeat your patterns, triumphant with immaturity and self neglect
I hope you trip and fall over and over and over until you decide youāre sick of it
the only difference is I wonāt be there then, Iāll be unreachable just like you are now
what would it have cost you to have one last conversation you fucking coward
may the next person be stronger than I was for whatās coming for them
Tonight, amidst the full room and empty seat next to me, I felt you. I felt you sharing the experience of music with me, through time and through walls. I know that if you knew I went to see Leif, youād think Iām such a romantic. Hopeless yes, but it was worth it, because I felt our connection once more. I let myself feel the pain of hearing our song without you in my life, but with you in my heart. I was dying to tell you, but I wonāt. And tonight Iām learning that you are everywhere, that thereās no avoiding you or this, as itās stronger than Iāve ever felt before. Through sound and space, I felt you.
Time will tell, and I am learning to be patient.

whatever is meant for me wonāt miss me
whatever isnāt meant for me will miss me
and my heart shall be at ease because I can be certain that if itās meant for me, it is coming my way
i care i always care that's my problem.
