I know you’ve probably never seen me before, so I’m Katie! I’ve been a fan of yours since I was 9 after I saw the speak now rain show at Gillette, and I just recently turned 18! Next year I’m attending the University of Pennsylvania and couldn’t be more excited :). I’m a senior right now, and there’s a chance I won’t get a graduation. It’s a little weird to think about but I’m staying hopeful and am grateful that I’m healthy unlike so many others. Since I’ve been a fan of yours, I’ve gone through a lot of hardship. I’ve had to see my Dad publicly lose his job, live without him as he worked in a different state, and eventually move for the second time in my life away from a place that felt like home. Throughout it all, I’ve struggled with an anxiety disorder. I’ve also dealt with loss of friends that hurt me throughout high school, but I’m happy to say I’m in such a good place right now and am surrounding myself with people who love and support me for me. Having you by my side has been the one constant throughout all of it and I can’t tell you how grateful I am for that because idk where I’d be without you.
