Run.Walk.Lift.move.play.live.

Hey there! I'm Dez. I live in Portland, Oregon and am currently a grad student (MBA+MS in applied psych. overachiever ftw!). In the summer of 2012 I began following the Couch 2 5k program because I would often see happy runners and think, “one day, I want to be one of those happy runners.” One day it hit me that the only way I would ever be someone that just, goes for a run, would be to work for it. Since that point, I've had many struggles and many victories. Running has taught me countless lessons and introduced me to the whole fitness world in a healthy manner. I've struggled with my weight my whole life and battled an eating disorder for 10 years. Because of that, my fitness goals tend to look different than most. I don't care about numbers, I care about improvement. I don't/won't weigh myself and base my progress on speed and my courage to try new things. Now, I run, do Zumba, yoga, lift, and am willing to try out any other fitness activities that look awesome.
