still reeling over the fact chapter 5 effectively confirms Noelle to be really depressed but just heavily masking the whole game, in both weird route AND normal route, it was previously just a cool headcannon I saw but chapter 5 effectively confirms it, even if you believe that dumb theory that the weird route stuff was all mind control or whatever and Noelle didn’t actually feel like that and that the whole flashback meant literally nothing, there’s still evidence in the fact Noelle was considering “leaving”, the nicest interpretation of that being at least running away from home
Noelle is clearly doing BAD, It’s kind of weird I haven’t seen more people talk about this, it felt like chapter 5 was the one to confirm a bunch of surprisingly dark fanfiction (in a good way) type head-cannons that I didn’t think Deltarune would follow up on, like Susie living in the darkworld, that was a cool head-cannon I saw someone talk about on here before release but I never thought it’d be so canonised
the Noelle stuff is just crazy to me and really confirms to me at least the story is gonna get ACTUALLY dark from here on out, not just heavy but actually dark (along with other stuff in the chapter confirming that for me), I’m very interested to see where Deltarune and Noelle’s character will go
