So, funny story. I started rewatching Mystreet back in January, and right after I finish the episode where Zane admits he lies to get his jobs, the original meme from above ends up popping up on my dash— and if that wasn’t a sign from god to make the drawing above, then I don’t know what would be.

Here’s a lil sketch from the Mystreet episode I’m referring to:

I actually had the meme done back in February, but I ended up getting hit by the busy train at full-fucking-speed right as I was about to publish it, so I just sorta.. forgot to post it. Whoops.

Sadly, despite the gremlin itch to keep posting art featuring our favorite emo man, I am too busy to work on the millions of WIPs I have at this time. I’m not entirely sure when I’ll be able to post again, so sorry in advance :/

I have so many things I want to say right now, but let's start with the most obvious: I am so fucking cooked, chat.

Exactly a month ago, I watched what was supposed to be an inconsequential video on YouTube analyzing Mystreet/Minecraft Diaries. And even though it has been years since I watched either series-- much less even thought about either one-- my brain went, "Hm, yes! Hyperfixation time!" Specifically for Zane, if you couldn't tell.

And, sure, there's nothing inherently wrong with that! But the amount of time I spend thinking about this emo white boy (much less drawing him) is frankly concerning.

To make matters worse, Zane wasn't even my favorite character back in the day. But for some reason, I saw him this time around and my brain literally went:

Again, there's so much I want to say, but I'll save the rest of my unhinged rambling for another day.

Image 1: This is just a line-up of some of my MS/MCD Zane designs! The leftmost drawing is early MS Zane (Season 1 -> Emerald Secret), the middle one is later MS Zane (Aphmau's Year -> When Angels Fall), and the rightmost drawing is of MCD Zane. I don't really have a design for MCD Zane just yet, so he def looks a bit lackluster compared to the other two.

Image 2: You cannot convince me that this isn't the exact kind of conversation Zane and Garroth would have in canon. And I know most people don't like himbo Garroth, but I would literally die for this version of him. His dynamic with Zane in the later seasons of MS is just so adorable to me.

Image 3: This is a reference to another Tumblr post (https://www.tumblr.com/ungurth/797062177010941952/day-10-crossover?source=share) I honestly would kill to see an interaction between MS and MCD Zane. Like, MS Zane literally goes around calling himself evil when his worst crimes are breaking & entering, minor vandalism, and being a bully/jerk to people. Meanwhile, MCD Zane is canonically a psychotic mass murderer who enjoys torturing people for fun. They are NOT on the same level whatsoever lmao

I love Fo4 but it’s a little silly that you can throw on some random outfit and suddenly become more charismatic, even if the person you’re speaking to can’t see what you’re wearing. Maybe it’s really about how confident your character feels? And hey, I can’t deny that Gary looks good in a dress.
