my boyfriend's mother has the chance of getting deported and he has the chance of going with her and even if he doesn't there's the whole obergefell v hodges situation and also both of us are visible minorities so we probably wouldn't even be able to get a job here in the south because everyone fucking sucks here!! i am really hoping i can at least get this job i just applied to so i can at least have income to save up before i graduate and have to pay bills

Saying that you "identify" as something can be really, REALLY hard to grasp for a ton of people, so just use a different phrasing with the same meaning!

For example, if you're in a situation were you have to explain your identity to someone who's a bit less open minded, instead of saying

"I identify as a fox"

just say

"I see myself as a fox" or "I feel more like a fox instead of a human"

That has the exact same meaning, but is much easier to understand!

"Yeah, I just kinda see myself as a fox. When I see images of them I kinda go 'hey! That's me!', and doing things a fox would do makes me happy"

You post your favorite animals but the only people who can reblog the post are people who have those animals as a 'type. Then they list their favorite animals and then people with those as a 'type can reblog that with their favorite animals and it keeps going after that.
